Tips From A Bellman
I don’t know why , but Waffle House always seems to make me happy. I recently moved to Mustang from Las Vegas where we don’t have a Waffle House . I always go to at least one when I visit the Carolinas and have never had a bad meal or bad experience. I’ve been to the other location in Yukon twice and this was my first time at this one.
Since I was by myself I sat at the counter. It was busy , probably the after church crowd. Elle greeted me and I ordered since I already knew what I wanted , All American Breakfast is my go to. I may change it a little , but it’s what I always get. Years ago in the North Carolina my son got the Bacon Cheeseburger and it was really good. I will get that one day for lunch.
Anyway , the staff was busy cooking and washing dishes and since I was at the end of the counter by the register I was right in the middle of everything. Ha ha. Elle was really good about saying Hi to everyone that walked in the door. They did a great job of cleaning the tables so they would be available for the next guests coming in and of course the counter. Elle checked on me several times and let me know my order would be up shortly. I understood it was busy and lots of customers came in before me , so I had no problem waiting.
I got Ham , Scrambled Eggs , Grits , Toast , Waffle , and a Mr Pibb. Grits were cooked perfectly , Scrambled Eggs were good and a little fluffy , Waffle was on point as usual , Toast was a little over toasted but it was okay. I should’ve got Bacon instead of the Ham. I forgot it’s the slice of thick ham like you make a sandwich with not the bone-in type slice of ham. The Ham tasted okay , but not what I wanted. From what I understand not all Waffle House locations do a Military Discount , but this one does which I appreciate as a Veteran. $13 for breakfast is a good deal.
I would recommend this location , but I personally think I like the vibe a little better at the Westmark Drive location. Either way you can’t go wrong at a Waffle House. I will take it over Cracker Barrel or Huddle House , etc.

It’s been a LONG time since we’ve had an experience as great as this one at any restaurant. Ellie was as close to a perfect server as you can get by my high standards. Everything was clean and comfortable.
The only thing I would suggest different is hairnets on the cooks.

Brought my son in for his 10th birthday breakfast at his request.
Food was great BUT the service from our waitress was awful. We always tip, and generously, but not today. It wasn’t busy in the restaurant. Maybe 4 tables and two servers. We got interrupted mid order so she could say hi to a regular and then she asked my husband to repeat himself. She commented on my sons slurping his drink (after I had already corrected him).
We had to go to the counter to get coffee and drink refills from another kind woman. It took us forever to even get our drinks. BUT worst of all, after my husband chose not to leave a tip, the waitress kept staring us down as we walked and got into our car. As we pulled out of the parking lot she locked eyes with me and shook her head in a “no” manner.. as if to act dissatisfied and shame me. I stopped the car and went back in. That was incredibly unprofessional and if a table doesn’t leave a tip, instead of showing your entitlement and disappointment why don’t you ask yourself if it was earned. Ma’am if you read this I worked as a waitress for years. Your manner was beyond unprofessional. I hope you don’t ever do this to another customer. I had told my husband he should have at least left something as we got in the car. Even if it wasn’t the $10-15 we usually leave as a family of 6. But after the way you acted I now agree with him. Please use this experience to do better and work on your professionalism as well as your skills as a waitress.

We came here for the first time, last week. We both ordered waffles. I ordered my waffle with chocolate chips, but they didn’t bake them in the waffle, they just put them on top of the waffle and then they melted. We both got a side with the waffle. I ordered grits and he ordered scrambled eggs. The grits were delish. Also, the sweet tea was really nice.

SHELBY WAS AWESOME!!! We just got off an airplane and arrived to eat and it was super busy. Shelby our server managed to handle cleaning tables, taking orders and did it all with a sweet, pleasant energy and a smile in her face . The food came out with t a few minutes hot and fresh. The only con wed it was super cold in the store but hey…. It’s waddle house. Thank you Shelby!!!
