The tables had not been wiped off, there was paper on the floor and on some of the tables. Napkin dispensers were empty. Food was okay, thinnest burgers and bacon slices I have ever seen .Also ordered no onions, got onions

We stopped here on the way home from St. Louis. We hadn’t been to Steak ‘n Shake for years since there are none really close to us. We were not expecting all the changes. First off you have to order your food from a kiosk. Their atr no waitresses, which was part of the fun of going there. With no waitresses you have to pick your own order and bus your own table, making it basically a glorifies McDonald’s or Burger King. Plus they’re menu is so limited, just burgers and grilled cheese sandwiches. No chicken at all or salads anymore. They cut their shake menu in half too. Though the burgers and shakes still are yummy, we won’t be returning.

My food that I ordered was good. My fries were a little over salted, but they were warm. My sandwich was messy but delicious. We did have a lengthy wait in thr drive through. In my mind, it was a little too long due to the fact that very little to nobody was there. It think if the fries had less salt and the wait was a little shorter, I think this place from the drive-through perspective could receive a 5 star. The picture is of the vehicle we were behind for several minutes. Again, a little quicker service or delivery of the food would have been ideal. I can’t imagine if it would have been a busy time. It would have been a long wait.

Unfortunately the burgers aren’t cooked as crisp as they used to be. No crispy edges and the meat is soggy. Another thing is the mustard relish has onions in it, not just pickles and it’s not noted. If there was a real person up front taking orders they could have answered that for me.

We haven’t been to a steak n shake in awhile. Our grandkids wanted that character they had in the widow. They gave me the receipt. I didn’t know what to do with it. I said, excuse me to 1 if the workers 2 ask 4 help. He kept walking to the back. A woman at the table helped me with no problem. The food doesn’t taste the same. The way they made the burgers were very messy. There was sauce all around the burger/ wrapper. We were not even greeted when we walked in. Maybe that should of been a sign. I’m not going back to that location.

Not a customer in sight but somehow they were slower than drying paint, and the staff was rude. The manager looked higher than a kite. This place has gone down hill.

I needed a quick bite, so I decided to check this place out. Walked in, and since it is all terminal ordering, it was super unwelcoming as everyone was in the back servicing the drive-through. 2 of the 4 terminals didn’t work; a lights were on, but no one was home kind of thing. I finally got ordered, got my drink , sat , and waited, and waited. I didn’t really expect it to take 15 minutes to get my food. The onion rings were like warm… Not great at all. The garlic burger was tasty, but they slathered a garlic butter on the top of the bun. I am not really sure who thought that was a good idea, but it was incredibly messy and greasy. The fries were limp and not very flavorful. The guy behind me didn’t grab his food right away, and the employee called out his number, seemingly rather annoyed he hadn’t gotten his food yet… I’m not really sure why it mattered so much. I’m not really sure I would come back, rather ho-hum experience.

Cheap eats that fill you up. Hot and fresh shoestring fries and hand spun milk shakes tie it in for a great meal without breaking the bank. The burgers are fresh made and nicely seasoned. Lost of choices for shake flavors and burger toppings, everyone can get something they like. Open 24 hours, so it always sounds good.

ive been going to this steak and shake on wylie dr in bloomington everyday for lunch for roughly the past 2 years ..i get a number 5 large frie and a chocolate shake
2 months ago the crew was fantastic friendly knew how to cook ….now in the past 2 months
betweeen 3 different occassions ..ive had smashed soggy burgers cold stale fries ig yall stopped salting the fries entirely and today i actually got burnt burgers that were borderline cold …how..and the crew now does not hold the same energy..i know this steak and shake went under new management a few months ago and all i can tell is its gone really down hill…but thanks i used to spend 3500 a year with this place…now i will save that as im not going to return
