Saw the google reviews and thought I would give this place a try since my niece has never been to a Japanese steakhouse and is in love with all things Japan. This was the best Japanese steakhouse experience I have ever had. The food was amazing, the service was perfect and the atmosphere is authentic. Reasonable price. Wonderful for family night or a date night. Will be visiting again and highly recommend.

Fantastic experience in every way. A very short wait for a table after walking in with no reservation that led to a wonderful experience with the bartender. Once seated, Cassandra was quick to get to us, consistently attentive, and had great recommendations. The chef was entertaining and the food was cooked perfectly. This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Nashville. And always has been since I was little. The food is still really good there, even to this day. However, the biggest reason I love coming here is because of Bruce. He is the man. He is so energetic, funny, and entertaining to his customers. He’s been cooking it out for 43 years, and it amazes me how he is still there today. Sadly, he wasn’t the cook at my table yesterday, but I did get to say hello to him. I will be back again sometime, and hopefully, he’ll be our cook

Everything was great except for the wait. We went on a Sunday at 5:30 PM. We waited a really long time to be seated in the lounge about an hour and also about 25 minutes at the table before water, soup, and salad was brought out then about 10 minutes after that for the chef. The bartender was fantastic and the drinks are STRONG we were both extremely tipsy after 2 drinks, highly recommend the Mikado special and blue Hawaiian as a cocktail. The chef wasn’t too entertaining but got the job done. The food was really good and huge portions – multiple days of leftovers. I enjoyed all the flavors. I preferred the chicken over the steak – the steak was quite chewy. The “MP” prices on the menu are $59 and $69.

Looking for a good hibachi restaurant so we tried this for the first time. It was fantastic, best hibachi food and experience we’ve had in a very long time. Our chef was excellent and cooked a delicious meal! I definitely recommend you give it a try and we’ll definitely be back!

Fun Place, But Terrible Chef Experience
Tried this hidden gem in Nashville place was packed, so I had high hopes. But the chef (who loudly shouted his name Ban Do) completely ruined the vibe.
He kept walking away mid-cooking, then came back tossing food everywhere—half of it missed the plate. That’s my money on the table.
Super loud, over-the-top, and honestly just annoying. Might give it another try with a different chef, but I won’t be sitting at Ban Do’s table again.

Service was nice,polite and helpful. We did have great cooking show but food was just ok. Place is pretty sticky,foggy and I guess air conditioning doesn’t work.
