Went to china gourmet for lunch midweek. Not crowded at all although the large free parking lot was pretty full due to the nearby Asian supermarket. We were seated immediately and the dim sum carts came by very soon after. There seemed to be 3 carts with dim sum and one with soups. Plenty of choices although the language barrier made it something of an adventure. For instance I ordered some buns which I thought the server had said were poppyseed, which I confirmed with her. They turned out to be some sort of onion mixture. They were delicious nonetheless. We also tried the signature salt and pepper squid dish. It was different for other fried calamari we have had and was very good. We tried several varieties of dumplings and they were unremarkable. Service was efficient. The place is very large but lacks atmosphere. Other than the fish tanks and tvs on the wall there wasn’t much decor. For to try the different options from the carts but we could have benefitted greatly from having someone with us that could tell us what the choices really were.

Absolute gem and highly recommend it. Venue is large enough for ample seating and have a dedicated parking lot to make parking easy. Everything is very fresh and tasty so give it a try!

Had dim sum at China Gourmet after a basketball game and it was the perfect call. One of the few places that still has the push carts for fresh dim sum, which makes the experience even better. As soon as we sat down, the cart was right next to us with food ready to go. Can’t ask for faster service than that!
We got our usual favorites, shrimp dumplings, shui mai, sticky rice, rice rolls with pork ribs, and roast pork buns. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. We were in and out in about 30 minutes, which was perfect since we were short on time. Great food, quick service, and definitely a place I’d come back to again.

This place opens till dinner, but dim sum closes at around 3pm on weekend. There wasn’t a lot of options, maybe because we arrived at 2pm. Everything was overcooked because the skin was too soft and broke apart. The fillings are good though. The sauce of the rice roll is good; recommend you ask for a lot so you can dip other stuff. Congee has pork and century egg. Pretty spacious place with shared public parking lot.

I love this place everything on the dimsum menu is delicious, especially the pork buns and liushabao. The service is super fast, most times I’ve been there will be two carts stopping by within 2 minutes of us sitting down. It’s loud and pretty crowded but that doesn’t impact the service. 10/10

Great authentic dim sum! Good portions. They don’t skimp on the good ingredients. The restaurant itself is quite large and could use a refresh, but food and service were great on a Friday morning. Parking was easy, but don’t leave anything in your car. Area seems sketchy. Pork buns were delicious. Pork & shrimp wrapped in dried bean curd had plenty of vegetables as well. Pan fried Chive dumplings. Chicken feet. Tripe. Shrimp dumplings. Delicious!

Really nice dim sum place in the NE Philly region! Huge banquet hall, with nice ambiance. This place was fullll on a Saturday morning with patrons of all ages. Quick service, large variety of options (their dessert menu is truly impressive!!), good food, and kind staff. Everything is very affordable too. I came with a group of 5 total and we got close to 25 dishes to share, and split among us the price came to ~$25 each! A remarkable deal given the amount of food we tried.
Shrimp dumplings, fried taro, and spare ribs were good (And I’m very particular about these 3 dim sum dishes). Pineapple buns and pandas sesame balls were truly extraordinary. I do have to add that their vegetarian and gluten free options were quite sparse. Other than that, it’s a very delicious and lovely place to spend a weekend morning with a group of loved ones!

Great restaurant with authentic flavors. Hands down the best chicken feet I’ve ever tried — perfectly cooked and seasoned. Highly recommend!

Good dim sum with a nice variety and a great way to spend the afternoon on a weekend. The place gets packed. It’s busy, noisy, and a little chaotic…a true dimsum cart experience. The service was fine.
Don’t miss out on the pineapple buns. I’m not sure how they make them but they are delicious.
Only thing sketchy was pricing. They circle items on paper when you select something and the pricing isn’t listed. Not enough to keep me away but I wish it was more linear.

This is the best dim sum in Philadelphia. My friends and I drove one and a half hours from the Lehigh Valley. It was definitely worth the drive. I highly recommend ordering a jasmine tea to balance the oil in the food, since Cantonese food can sometimes be oily.
