Love love loved everything about this meal! Our waiter, Peter was great with suggestions. The goat cheese appetizer and quail salad were excellent. We get to NOLA once a year and Bayona is always on our list.

Well, I was not planning to leave such a bad review. The food was excellent. The chef really made those duck and lamb dishes superb! However, we are not sure if they were stealing cash in the back! I feel like they were, because every time they came back saying they had less cash than was given to them. Do Not and I repeat do not go to this restaurant in a large group! Beware they do not split checks and will hold ALL of you hostage inside the restaurant until the full bill is paid! We paid way over what we owed $240 in cash for the night and was told we couldn’t leave until the entire bill was paid! The manager Acted like she was going to call the police on us. We should have let her, We should have gotten down to the bottom of the entire receipt. I do believe there were several things on there charged to that receipt that we did not eat. Also, don’t even bother getting the bread. It is as hard as a rock. Which we found out later, they charged us $10 for two baguettes that were super hard. We couldn’t even eat them! Like I said, the chef was fantastic! Everything we ate was so delicious besides the bread, of course! Whoever that woman was needs to be fired, And if I find out, she owns it, I’ll never be back No matter how good that food was! The level of disrespect she treated us with is completely disgusting!

We discovered Bayonne in 1996 during a road trip from Florida to New Orleans. We met a random person at an ATM, struck up a conversation, made friends, and as it turned out, he, Dimitri, was a chef at Bayona. He invited us to have lunch and the rest is history. We returned last week, same road trip to celebrate 30 years (of the road trip), and had dinner again. Same table, #14, and let me say, Bayona didn’t disappoint. We started with a glass of white. Next came the Cesar Salad, followed by the Gumbo d’ Zherbes. Then sweetbreads, which were divine, prepared to perfection. Lamb loin for the main, and ending with house-made cheesecake and a baked apple in a cloud. The atmosphere, service and quality of food were top-notch, all the way. We hope to do it again soon, hopefully not waiting 30 more years!

Beautiful setting, attentive service, and delicious food…. what did you ask for? In Had the garlic soup first, followed by a barbecue shrimp. Both were outstanding, but the shrimp was really fantastic. I had the cheesecake for dessert and it was a little bit small in portion size, but very delicious.

The mushroom goat cheese croutons were ethereal. The fennel pepper crusted lamb with zinfandel reduction and duck fat potatoes was phenomenal as well. Overall the wine list did leave a little to be desired but the btg menu did definitely have the perfect pairing for my meal. The service was exceptional and the ambiance outside was dreamy. Will enthusiastically return.

I’ve never had a duck PB&J but boy was it delicious. Service was fantastic. Portions were… Small. It’s fine though and imo worth it for a very classy meal in the area a bit off the loud path.

We had an excellent dinner here. The food was outstanding and the spicy margarita was the best one I’ve ever had. The courtyard is very dreamy.
Will definitely come back next time we’re in town!

Wow wow wow! Best meal I had while in NOLA. I recommend the lamb loin and the duck, as well as the tomato salad. Was bummed they didn’t have the chicken liver mousse, but everything we ordered was delightful. It’s very charming and food came out quickly. Very enjoyable evening overall. Thanks for having us!

We had a wonderful meal last night at Bayona. The new chef, Christy ❤️Engeran is so incredibly talented. She has truly brought Bayona to another level the level of food that she is doing with not just her classic French, but world cuisine is astounding. We had the shrimp flan, the fish, Dijour and a long list of incredible vegan dishes among our favorite was the vegetableTagine in a Moroccan style with couscous and it was incredible.

As a vegan person I highly recommend this place. I had a hard time finding vegan options at fine dining restaurants in New Orleans and it was such a relief when I found out that Bayona does offer vegan options and they are delicious!
The service and ambiance was great as well, very quiet and elegant. Our server was very friendly, kind and knew exactly what to recommend from the menu!
