We had an overall positive experience trying out The Dough Forge for the first time. When we arrived without a reservation, we didn’t have to wait and were seated after a couple of minutes. There was a nice ambiance, which included a live musician in the corner. This is truly an authentic Italian family-owned restaurant. The owner is basically the chef, his wife is the hostess/server/manager, and (I think) their son is a server. The service from start to finish was excellent. They were friendly and helpful in answering any questions we had. Our server was new though and he admitted it was only his third shift, and had to return to the kitchen a couple of times to find the answers to our questions, specifically about gluten-free. To confirm, they do offer both gluten-free pizzas and pastas, which was fantastic for us. We decided to order the chicken parmigiana and a cheese pizza, both GF. While the wait for the food was a bit longer than expected, it was worth the wait. Both were delicious and the sauce on both the pizza and pasta were great, with hints of sweetness. My wife loved her pasta and chicken, and said it was flavorful. The pizza was good too, although we would have preferred it be cooked a tad longer. Our only complaint of the evening was when we received our bill. We did share this feedback with the owners, but we were surprised by the upcharges for the gluten-free. The $4.50 for the pasta was reasonable, but it was an extra $8.50 upcharge for the gluten-free pizza, which was actually only 10”. So it was $22+ for a smaller pizza, compared to the regular pizzas that are either 12”, 16”, or 18”. While we understood that they only source fresh ingredients and that can be expensive, the costs should be fully disclosed to customers on the menu. In general though, that would not stop us from visiting Dough Forge again, but we will likely skip the GF pizza.

Without a a doubt the absolute best Italian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at!!! The food was amazing! The service was impeccable and the atmosphere shows they understand what it means to create a superb dining experience! If you live in the area or are passing though, this place is a must!!! Love that the family is back and beautiful inside! Service was excellent. We had the garlic butter shrimp start with their homemade focaccia then split the Margherita Pizza and Penne a la Vodka. YUM! Cannot wait to return

Visited on 9/29. The server was so polite and very informative about the menu. The food came out piping hot and very delicious. I had the sausage and pepper sub. The spice was perfect. My daughter had the chicken Alfredo and wouldn’t stop saying how yummy it was. And dessert was just as incredible. If you’re looking for good food that can change your mood, this is the place.

I was really disappointed with my chicken Stromboli. The chicken was cut in very thin strips. It didn’t taste like fresh chicken. The breading fell off the chicken. There wasn’t much flavor. While I received a side of sauce, I expected more sauce inside. However, the breading was tasty where it wasn’t overcooked.

Review: The Dough Forge
The Chicken Parm sub at The Dough Forge is excellent. The bread comes out hot and crispy on the outside, soft and delicious on the inside. It’s the kind of sandwich that’s simple, well-made, and full of flavor.
The restaurant is new and family owned, which gives it a genuine local feel. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and you can tell they take pride in serving authentic Italian cuisine. It’s exactly the kind of place I enjoy supporting.
I would recommend giving them a try. Whether it’s a date night, a casual pizza dinner with family, or a quick grab-and-go meal, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. With all the big chain restaurants popping up nearby, it’s refreshing to know you can still get true home-cooked flavor at a local spot.
If you made it this far, tap a like, and take a moment to explore my other reviews from around the world.

Went here to try out their pizza. It was literally the best pizza I have ever had, everything about it was fenomenal. My server “Brandi” was very pleasant and tentative to our needs. The owners Zo and Rikki are fantastic people and checked on us as well. Can not wait to go back. Amazing!!!!

As cheesy 😉 as this sounds we left with our stomach and hearts full! They import their water from Italy to make the crust and that’s what makes it so delicious! They also import their desserts… incredible! The family that owns this restaurant makes you feel like family! So caring and wondering service. We love the dough forge!!

This restaurant is right down the road. We went to Carmen’s lots of time. Their food was amazing. Sorry but very disappointed in our take out meal tonight. I ordered the eggplant parm dinner. The side pasta was shells and very over done. The eggplant were planks. Not good at all. Ordered 12 wings, over cooked. The chicken Mediterranean was dry. The antipasto sale was the only thing that had promise. Again very disappointed and not sure I will order again. It’s a shame because the reviews show a different story. Might be reviews from family members.
Now 3 days later no reply to my review. Guess you don’t care how people review your business. Very surprised.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We ate here for the first time. Food was excellent. We had a pizza which was the best we’ve had since moving to FL. The owner was bustling around and took special care, asking if we enjoyed our food. Our server (Brandy), was delightful. So cheery and sweet. Our food was excellent and it came out right away. The place has been redecorated since we visited it when it was Carmen’s, much lighter and brighter. It was bustling with other diners, which is a testament to its food, service and ambiance. We’ll definitely be back, as we live nearby and are happy to have such a great place right down the street.
