It was pretty late on a Saturday night and we wanted a quick bite after a long day at a nearby lake. My French onion soup was delicious. Hearty, tasty, perfection. My girlfriend was happy with her soup as well. We ordered a small veggie pizza, which was surprisingly big enough for both of us. The pizza wasn’t the best pizza I ever had, dough and sauce felt a little industrial, but the toppings were spot on and overall it was good. Service was great and fast. Thank you!

This is one of the best places to go for Fish Fry or any other meal for that matter. The French Onion Soup is very good. They are quick at getting you seated and food brought to the table without making you feel rushed. Someplace Else was way better than the Fish Fry I had last Friday (7/26).

I had 1/2 BLT & a loaded baked potato. It was so good. The bacon for the BLT was crispy & not a single bit limp. I took home a slice of Turtle cheesecake. Excellent service, too!

Service was quick. Server was good. Food was really bland…meh. Parts of the very small amount of tomatoes in salad were bad. Gluten Free options a plus. Place didn’t have a great atmosphere either. Weird smell inside. Really disappointed. Would rather have no little tomato pieces than spoiled tomatoes in the salad.

Stopped in for dinner tonight and they were packed! Server came over right away and took our drink & appetizer order, both came out extremely quick seeing as how they were so busy! Dinner came out pretty quick too. Food was good! Servers Shayna & Dana were AMAZING!
We had the boneless wings with Buffalo and homemade firecracker sauce on the side, both were good. The firecracker sauce was sweet and spicy, but not crazy hot! We had the Freaking Fries appetizer as well, a pile of fries with cheddar cheese, bacon and green onions drizzled in ranch. These were ok, the toppings were all piled only in the middle, leaving lots of them plain, but still came out hot & crispy! The chili was very good. The French Onion Soup was delicious, worth going back just for that! The Reuben could have been a tad crispier, but the corned beef was melt in your mouth and the homemade 1000 island was phenomenal! We will be back!

Great food, great service. Pot pie was good, as was Ruben. Good pub pretzels. Good beef au jus dip. However the banana bread pudding was AMAZING.
Update 1 year later. Food and service still on point. Prime rib great. Banana bread pudding remains amazing! Our server was super friendly.

Good food. We got it to go and had never been there before. We have 7 people to feed and we all said it was good. Nice bar tender that took our to go order. We recommend.

I ordered a personal pizza for pickup through DoorDash. I entered through the main entrance, told the bartender the name on my order, and asked if they had a dedicated pickup area. She seemed annoyed that I was picking up an order and told me to exit the building and re-enter through the side. Her instructions were unclear, since the only other door had a large “Employees Only” sign. I went back in to clarify, and she repeated the same directions as if I hadn’t heard her the first time.
So I went back outside, entered through the “Employees Only” door, and sure enough—there was my pizza. The kitchen staff were very kind, and we had a nice conversation. I’m not sure why the bartender couldn’t be bothered to grab the order herself or give proper clarification.
Most other sit-down restaurants I’ve ordered pickup from would gladly assist the customer. This definitely left an odd impression, and I’m not sure I’d bring my family here.

Located on the square in downtown Elkhorn, Someplace Else offers a casual place with a relaxed vibe to have a nice sit down meal with family and/or friends. The staff is very polite and friendly. With an extensive menu, you’ll certainly find something to your liking. From burgers and sandwiches, chicken entrees and wraps, steak, and a huge pot pie, they literally have something for everyone. They have a children’s menu and a couple vegetarian options also. They have a comfortable dinning area separate from the bar area if you have children with. Enjoy drinks and cocktails with your meal, and finish your dinning experience with some dessert.
