I really liked the ambience. Definitely a fine dine-in restaurant. You can plan corporate lunch, ample of space to move around and more tables and chairs which can accommodate more crowd. Appetaisers tasted really good. Main course is also good. Prices are ok. Drinks are available. Service is fast and good. Definitely worth going multiple times

I recently visited (Nov 2025) this Indian fusion eatery, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The food is absolutely fantastic, and the service is warm, attentive, and quick—everything you hope for in a great dining experience. This is better than any other Indian restaurant in the area from both a food and service perspective.

I started with the Manchow Soup, which was flavorful, comforting, and perfectly balanced. The appetizers were the real stars of the meal: Chilli Garlic Gobi and Corn Chat Pata. Both were incredibly delicious—crispy, bold, and packed with flavor. These two dishes, along with their Donne Biryanis, are absolute must-tries.

The Monks is so trending now! The food presentation is amazing with a huge menu & variety of options! We started out with the cilantro lime soup- not so good! Best appetizer was hands down Chinese bhel. Got their monk’s special chicken momos- slightly dry. Drums of heaven dry and saucy- really good. Monks chopsuey- a favorite but on the sweeter side. Burnt garlic fried rice- also good in flavor! Apricot delight is amazing- all must end with this dessert. Overall great vibes – just a little more work on service & recommendations!

Some of the most authentic Indo-Chinese food I’ve had. They had a large variety of entrees and mains ranging from spring rolls, to momos and noodles all made street style as commonly found in north and northeast India. They serve other common Indian food but I would recommend the Indo-Chinese options as that’s what they specialize in. The spring rolls were piping hot and so crispy. The momos are served in several different ways, while I like the classic steamed momo they had run out of those so we got the tandoori momos instead which are a twist on an original dimsum. 100% recommend the tandoori momos as it’s such a great fusion of two classic tastes! The noodles are served in many different styles, we got the street-style one but I didn’t thoroughly enjoy it. I usually don’t like noodles but as per my family who have had a lot of actual street-style noodles they definitely liked it!

Service felt rushed even as we went before lunch hour, with a few other diners. The waitresses were constantly in a hurry and visited our table often for the “next order” when we weren’t prepared. Not the best service as there wasn’t much enthusiasm but all in all it was okay.

The ambiance was great, the interior was thoughtful and beautifully designed with comfortable seating and bright colors which are not commonly found in many restaurants.

Restaurant has a great ambience and friendly staff, Bollywood music playing in the background is also great.
Now, talking about food, it is fine and could be better. We ordered appetizer and a curry, but temperature of the food wasn’t up to the mark. Chandi Kaliyan (chicken) appetizer is one of our favorites and it has a smooth tasty creamy texture. Paneer Tikka Masala was good, but fried rice it came with was cold. Also, we felt, atmosphere was a bit noisy when we went for dinner.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WORST FOOD EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you ever wondered what disappointment tastes like, just visit Monk’s Indian Fusion in The Colony.

Paneer Tikka Momos? Supposed to be saucy — came out so dry that even desert plants would feel ashamed. We asked for extra sauce, but honestly, nothing could save them.

Ghali Paneer? The paneer was practically raw. At this point, I’m convinced the kitchen doesn’t believe in cooking.

Bandi Style Chicken Noodles? Overhyped, overrated, and I have no idea what everyone is praising. Maybe we ate at a different restaurant than the reviewers.

Bandi Style Veg Fried Rice? The grand finale… literally just rice mixed with chilli powder. That’s it. No veggies, no flavor. I genuinely want the manager to take one spoon and explain how this passes as “fried rice.”

Overall: Zero taste, zero effort, maximum disappointment.
If hype and paid promotions made food tasty, this place would be a 5-star restaurant. Unfortunately, reality tastes like chilli powder on plain rice.

Would definitely not recommend. Ever.

We tried this restaurant thrice and all I can say is that it is a hit or miss.
Tried it for the first time a few months ago, loved their manchow soup (perfect indo desi chinese) a d noodles were okay.
Second time – tandoori momos were huge in size and soggy but manchurian was good.
Third time – ordered drums of heaven/chicken lollipop and the chicken was BAD. It was stale, covered in red food color and just tasted bad/inedible. Corn chatpata was good. Chili garlic Fried rice was sweet and red in color.

It is my humble request to the restaurant owners/chefs to please serve edible and not stale (especially stale and bad tasting non veg )
Please use good quality food items to serve customers.
Why don’t u maintain your taste.

My last dinner of 2025 is very disappointing at Monk’s Lewisville branch, especially non-veg dishes. Despite heavy rush food delivery is fast. But lacked flavor/taste.
Chicken dynamite – a disaster (salty) looks tastes same as chicken darbar starter.
Chicken tandoori – not enough salt, masala.
Mutton ghee roast – is the only savior
Chk bandi fried rice – no enough salt, pepper spice.

Veg items are decent enough – chat chatpata, darbar gobi, chinese bhel.

Veg noodles (spicy) – ufff.

New spot, nice ambience, attentive staff with quick response.
We are here for a party. We tried
Chicken Darbar – good looking, tastes ok
Chicken Schein – below average without flavour
Mutton ghee roast – just avg, nothing spl.
Baby corn appetizer – over flavored with coriander and over fried. Feels like an oil ball.

Here comes the yummy stuff.
Bandi style fried rice – chicken, veg. So good.
Goat donne biryani – super flavorful.

Really good Indo-Chinese food. The food is flavorful and tasty. The place has a nice decor and wonderful outdoor dining as well. We had really good Veg Manchurian, Hakka fried rice and street style noodles.

Corn chat pata and their Donne Paneer Biryani is the best !! Street style fried rice is authentic. Good vibes and environment/ambience is much better than others near by (simply south or Bharath bhavan) and tastes better too.
