I started with the Manchow Soup, which was flavorful, comforting, and perfectly balanced. The appetizers were the real stars of the meal: Chilli Garlic Gobi and Corn Chat Pata. Both were incredibly delicious—crispy, bold, and packed with flavor. These two dishes, along with their Donne Biryanis, are absolute must-tries.
Service felt rushed even as we went before lunch hour, with a few other diners. The waitresses were constantly in a hurry and visited our table often for the “next order” when we weren’t prepared. Not the best service as there wasn’t much enthusiasm but all in all it was okay.
The ambiance was great, the interior was thoughtful and beautifully designed with comfortable seating and bright colors which are not commonly found in many restaurants.
Now, talking about food, it is fine and could be better. We ordered appetizer and a curry, but temperature of the food wasn’t up to the mark. Chandi Kaliyan (chicken) appetizer is one of our favorites and it has a smooth tasty creamy texture. Paneer Tikka Masala was good, but fried rice it came with was cold. Also, we felt, atmosphere was a bit noisy when we went for dinner.
If you ever wondered what disappointment tastes like, just visit Monk’s Indian Fusion in The Colony.
Paneer Tikka Momos? Supposed to be saucy — came out so dry that even desert plants would feel ashamed. We asked for extra sauce, but honestly, nothing could save them.
Ghali Paneer? The paneer was practically raw. At this point, I’m convinced the kitchen doesn’t believe in cooking.
Bandi Style Chicken Noodles? Overhyped, overrated, and I have no idea what everyone is praising. Maybe we ate at a different restaurant than the reviewers.
Bandi Style Veg Fried Rice? The grand finale… literally just rice mixed with chilli powder. That’s it. No veggies, no flavor. I genuinely want the manager to take one spoon and explain how this passes as “fried rice.”
Overall: Zero taste, zero effort, maximum disappointment.
If hype and paid promotions made food tasty, this place would be a 5-star restaurant. Unfortunately, reality tastes like chilli powder on plain rice.
Would definitely not recommend. Ever.
Tried it for the first time a few months ago, loved their manchow soup (perfect indo desi chinese) a d noodles were okay.
Second time – tandoori momos were huge in size and soggy but manchurian was good.
Third time – ordered drums of heaven/chicken lollipop and the chicken was BAD. It was stale, covered in red food color and just tasted bad/inedible. Corn chatpata was good. Chili garlic Fried rice was sweet and red in color.
It is my humble request to the restaurant owners/chefs to please serve edible and not stale (especially stale and bad tasting non veg )
Please use good quality food items to serve customers.
Why don’t u maintain your taste.
My last dinner of 2025 is very disappointing at Monk’s Lewisville branch, especially non-veg dishes. Despite heavy rush food delivery is fast. But lacked flavor/taste.
Chicken dynamite – a disaster (salty) looks tastes same as chicken darbar starter.
Chicken tandoori – not enough salt, masala.
Mutton ghee roast – is the only savior
Chk bandi fried rice – no enough salt, pepper spice.
Veg items are decent enough – chat chatpata, darbar gobi, chinese bhel.
Veg noodles (spicy) – ufff.

New spot, nice ambience, attentive staff with quick response.
We are here for a party. We tried
Chicken Darbar – good looking, tastes ok
Chicken Schein – below average without flavour
Mutton ghee roast – just avg, nothing spl.
Baby corn appetizer – over flavored with coriander and over fried. Feels like an oil ball.
Here comes the yummy stuff.
Bandi style fried rice – chicken, veg. So good.
Goat donne biryani – super flavorful.
