My husband and I made our first visit here back in March after discovering this spot on Instagram and TikTok. We actually drove in from Toledo, Ohio just to try it—and it was so worth it!
We ordered a variety of items: the Unoriginal Burger, the Unoriginal Chicken Sandwich, the Smoky Barbecue Burger, the Hippie Hash (absolutely outstanding), and the Chili Cheese Fries (good, but not our favorite). For dessert, we had the Oreo Shake and the Strawberry Shake—both delicious. We even took home some of their homemade oatmeal cream pies.
The ambience was super cute, cozy, and welcoming. It’s a small space, but not too small—just enough to feel intimate. We especially loved sitting by the big front window, watching the downtown traffic go by while enjoying our food.
The burgers were truly on point. My husband and I have been eating plant-based (no meat) for about 7 years now, so finding a spot like this felt like such a treat. Everything was flavorful, satisfying, and exceeded our expectations.
Highly recommend this place—definitely a 10/10! If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out.

It hurts for me to give this rating to what has been my favorite restaurant in the area for YEARS. I frequented this place before the renovation when I first started my plant-based journey. I waited patiently for the renovations, and have been a loyal customer all this time.
What I loved about Unburger: the CONSISTENCY. Everytime I ordered, the food was hot, freshly prepared, and looked the same way it looked in the pictures. And the taste was wonderful. I could tell whoever prepared the food actually cared. That’s what kept me coming back. I could rely on the food and knew it would be the same everytime.
Unfortunately, things have continued to go downhill. The Smoky BBQ burger was my favorite – the patties, bbq sauce, thick cut smoky bacon, and FRIED onion rings provided the perfect texture. But they changed the recipe. The NEW burger now has thin, tasteless bacon that’s reminiscent of cardboard. Instead of the delicious crisp onion rings, they replaced it with caramelized red onions, which created an unpleasant taste and texture on the burger. You bit into it and a mushy mess of onions fall out. It’s gross.
I still wanted to support and give them a chance. So, my new favorite became the Unoriginal. It was delicious, like a vegan big mac. But unfortunately, they’ve changed that as well. Instead of the moist, golden, “buttery” buns of before, they replaced them with small, dry, anemic buns that remind you of McDonald’s buns from the dollar menu. I paid an extra $1 for lettuce, and this is the lettuce they put on my burgers. I was shocked.
I hear a lot of people complain about the price of the food. I’ve never had a problem paying what Unburger charges for their food, because it was always consistently good. I hear people complain about the distance, which is something I never complained about (I live 30 minutes away). But when I pay my hard earned money, drive 30 minutes for this food? Then to have the manager not offer anything to try to make things right? THAT’S when I have a problem. And on top of all this, the customer service has gone down. As a loyal customer, I feel disrespected and disappointed. Tell me what reason I have to keep patronizing this place??? I’ve recommended so many people to this place over the years – vegans and non-vegans. Unfortunately, this was my LAST visit to Unburger. There’s no pride in the food anymore. No pride in the service. No pride in customer satisfaction. So I’m out ✌️

ive been vegetarian for 6 years now, its always difficult finding places with vegetarian/vegan options especially in dearborn. i love being able to not have to skim through the menu here to ensure something is actually vegetarian. their food is always so good and consistent. the customer service is top notch. their classic unoriginal burger is so awesome. i always look forward to coming here. food always tastes fresh and clean.

This was my first time eating here and this is a great place for vegetarians to eat the food was delicious it’s a little pricey but worth it. The French fries are really salty but still good. The employees were friendly and my food came out fast and hot . I definitely have to go back parking in the back is a pain but over all good experience.

Unburger in Dearborn is a great spot, and the best part is that the whole restaurant is vegan, but you honestly wouldn’t even notice. Everything is very flavorful. The chicken sandwich actually tastes like chicken, the beef tastes like beef, and even the sauces taste like they’re made with real dairy.
The prices are also very reasonable. Most sandwiches are around $10, and a full meal averages about $15, which is pretty affordable for the quality.
Overall, I would definitely recommend checking this place out whether you’re vegan or not. The food is just really good

I found out that the ‘meat’ is all made from pea protein. My Chick’n patty was delicious. The flavor and texture were excellent (I don’t normally eat meat substitutes, but was curious to try a lunch spot with vegan options.) My friend got the burger and said it was delicious. Fries were hot and crispy. Options available for vegan, dairy-free and gluten free. (I would recommend you ask your own questions regarding gluten free – not sure if this is suitable for celiac.) Will be back to try the Oreo Shake.

Food is much better since the improvements. Decor is nice ,music selection is good and utilizing all the space in a smart way adding stools and the lights that brighten up the space. Quality of food is better. You don’t wait long for food. Taste really good as before but the quality was different having to send food back but now it’s pretty good each time. I love to see the improvement. I’ve been going there off and on for years since nearly opening. No complaints for the past 2 years. I spent a bunch of money on them these few months but it’s worth it and it’s vegan. Great work to anyone that participated in the process of improvement because it works.

YUMMY!!! This place does not disappoint. I just happened to discover this little dive recently, we traveled from Toledo, Ohio. OH my, my my…. delicious. I tried the sweet n spicy chicken sandwich with peppermint shake. That shake was the BEST shake that I have ever had. So creative. I cannot wait to make the trip again and try the NEWEST sandwich. PLEASE open a location in Toledo, Ohio!!!! We need good VEGAN food.

Unburger is one of the best burger joints I’ve ever been to! The burgers are incredible, their fries are delicious (I got them with garlic mayo aioli), and the Oreo shake is pretty bomb I’m gonna get a chili dog and the hot honey chick’n sandwich next time!
