I walked through the front door on a mid sunday afternoon and noticed how gross the resuarant looked. The trash bins had food peices and grease all over the top, the serving stations were a mess and everything almost looked mixed together. It was not busy. I went up and ordered chips and queso that looked like it was old with the cheese and oil separating. Pretty spicy with no flavor and very watery. I was so disgusted with the place so made the queso even more unappetizing. Will never be going back there.

We ordered 3 entrees and one was missing, but we didn’t realize until we were home, across town. We go back through the drive thru and tell them, and they never clarified how the entree was supposed to be, so again, that was messed up. I also ordered the citrus shrimp tacos and they were all lettuce and 4 shrimp. The shrimp tasted like old fryer oil. No limes, no sauce. Never asked what tortillas I wanted. All around it tasted awful. This place has truly gone downhill

I have been going here since they opened. It used to be top tier. Now , not so much. The last 10 times or so ive been there the Employees are rude as can be , the food at the prep stations are always a nasty mess ( foods mixes with other foods) food everywhere, rice overcooked, everything on the line cold as can be … Got chips and queso and the queso tasted like cleaner and was lumpy and thick, we didnt eat but a few bites left and got very sick. Im convinced it did have cleaner in it. They dont give much meat even though they are supposed to give 2 oz with items I had the girl argued with me so i had her weigh what she was giving me and low and behold it wasn’t the standard. The restaurant is always filthy, employees are just rude as can be. The 2 managers i know there are awesome people but the workers are not so much. Its sad this place went so far down hill. This is not my fave anymore. Which sucks. ;( .

This place always has fresh ingredients. Sometimes the ice machine is not working, requiring that employees set out an ice bucket and a scoop. I really appreciate the Veterans discount that they offer. Using the Cafe Rio app to earn points has really saved me a few bucks too. The tables and restaurant are kept clean and the line servers are very polite and efficient. This is one of my favorite places to grab a lunch meal, especially in Taco Tuesday when the tacos are 1/2 price.

I am completely appalled by the lack of respect I just experienced at this cafe Rio. Coming from someone who has worked at Cafe Rio in the past, I have never seen the establishment so poorly maintained than in this restaurant. When I ordered queso and the employee poured it, I didn’t even want it anymore because it did not look right. Other food behind the counter did not look pleasing at all. Also, the food did not taste right when eating. When I asked for limes I was completely dismissed and told “no” knowing that there was a shelf of limes right behind the counter on the wall. After pointing it out to an employee I was told “I don’t have the lime cutter.” I then asked if she could use a knife. She then rolled her eyes and went back and got me limes then practically threw them at the cashier not saying a word. I understand how busy cafe Rio can get, but it was 6pm on a Monday with A FEW customers in the store. Unacceptable.

The gentleman who rang us up was amazing. Receipt said his name was Landan. He told us about the app and he saved us money. The food is always good when we come in person. Only thing is sometimes when ordering online, they forget something with the order. We have started just coming in person and it’s been great. Thanks Landon for the amazing customer service!

Disappointed/stingy. Got the salad. I did a veggie even though it is the same amount as having meat which I know they are saving money on. I also don’t like wasting food. So took off the guacamole and the cilantro. So basically saving them money. I ordered two dressings. Got to the window and the dressings they gave me were smaller than what they normally do. Very disappointed. I am going to do an experiment and see if these two equal even one of the larges…Caus I don’t think so at all. I will keep you posted!

My husband and I went to get cafe Rio 1/3/26.
We went through the drive through because we were on our way to a hockey game.
My order was completely wrong! I asked for extra rice (non). I asked for white queso (gave me nacho cheese) they put the nacho cheese on top of my lettuce. Who wants soggy lettuce? Not me? When we were talking to her in the drive through she didn’t seem like she knew what items cafeteria Rio had for the bowls in the first place. My husbands order was completely fine tbh. I’m just very disappointed in my order. I ate some of it. And I couldn’t eat the rest because it did not taste good at all!
The only thing I can say that was good about my experience tonight was my large Dr Pepper!

I was on day 10 of 10 for covering nights at the hospital. It was going to be a rough day, but the glimmering hope of a free burrito at cafe rio struck my email like lightning. I ordered it for 5:00pm with eager anticipation to enjoy it while chart reviewing at the hospital. To my dismay, tragedy stuck again. My washing machine broke causing me to be at cafe rio close to 6:00 to pick up my food. The worker looked at the time my order was made, looked at me, and offered to make a new order because that one was sitting out too long. He even offered me a free drink while i waited. This act of kindness turn what was looking like a depressing evening into something I little bit brighter.

This was a pretty good place. It has really good food. It also is pretty empty when I went for lunch. It was just a little pricy. Near the end of our eating they came around and gave us a sample of there pie. A little surgery but very good.
