Ordered a sirloin steak medium and received it med well, the burger was ordered med well/ no pink, it was received very pink. Either the cook doesn’t know his/her temps or completely mixed them up. We couldn’t finish the burger. And the quality of the steak was very poor, very fatty.

Overall our waitress Kaydence i think that was her name, I can’t remember how it was spelled on the ticket. She was very sweet & welcoming but the service was just bad. We got seated, got greeted very nice by her. We ordered drinks from the bar , they took forever to come out. We asked when they would come out, she proceeded to tell us she would check on that. We never received our lemon drops, continued to replace it with another drink after our lemon drops weren’t received. My husband & I ordered our daughter’s food before ours & her food came 15 mins later after receiving ours. Again, we asked when her food would come out, same response, she would check on that. It was extremely hot, as if it were placed in the microwave. She continued to tell us her food was probably bad due to the fact it was just sitting in the window for a while. Sucks to have had such a bad experience here. 🙁

My background in food service: server at The Ground Round (Upstate New York), server at TGIFriday’s (Upstate New York & Sarasota, FL), server at Ruby Tuesday’s (Upstate New York), server at The Olive Garden (Upstate New York & DeLand, FL), server at California Pizza Kitchen (Richmond, VA). Bar Tender at TGIFriday’s (Sarasota, FL), prep cook at Ruby Tuesday’s and TGIFriday’s (Upstate New York). So, I feel confident in my ratings. The food was good – prepared correctly, no mistakes by the server or the kitchen. Very long wait time for food though, I’d say 30 minutes. Service was decent, our server was obviously a greenie – she didn’t know the menu very well and was definitely in the weeds, but I give her an A for effort and honesty, she was trying her best and she was sweet. My (and our party’s) opinion is that the atmosphere was terrible. The restaurant has music playing via these triple speaker systems in the ceiling. Our table was right next to one of these and it was so loud we could barely hear each other talk. My Mom is hard of hearing and couldn’t hear when we were talking to her and our oldest child has a hard time dealing with extremely loud noises. They can handle idle conversation from other people in the restaurant (as we’ve been out many times before), but this was ridiculous. Overall, our table time from being seated to leaving was over 2 hours. Granted, it was a Saturday evening and they were busy. But, not so busy that there weren’t open tables and they weren’t on a wait. I don’t think we’ll be back for a sit down meal given the atmosphere. But, we may order takeout since the food was good. Lastly, the bathrooms were gross and not kept clean.

My daughter enjoyed our dinner here. I took a dad-tax of her fries and they were hot and tasty. My chicken tender salad was good, but kinda basic (lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar and chicken with dressing). And our table smelled like it was wiped with a mildewy rag, but it wasn’t horrible.

Overall a solid dinner

My husband and I went to the Applebee’s on 9601 W Broad Street in Glen Allen Virginia.
We checked out the two for twenty five menu. For the appetizer we ordered the onion rings. They were tender and flavorful.
For an entree I tried the cheeseburger. I had swiss cheese instead of American. The burger was juicy pink in the middle just the way I like it. I live with a little heart condition so I opted for a Caesar salad rather than fries. Because I had had onion rings. I didn’t much care for the tomato soup which came with the burger. It tasted like Prego spaghetti sauce.
My Steve enjoyed his choice chicken parm over fettuccine.
On Friday December 19 we returned and once again sampled the two for twenty five. This time we tried the boneless wings. My husband ordered the cheeseburger and I enjoyed the chicken tenders as I hadn’t had a fried meal in more than a year.
The servers are professional warm and friendly. These days you need to let your waiter or waitress know if you don’t want your bread or your fries seasoned. Our French fries came seasoned and my Steve and I can’t them this way so our waiter who is also a bartender, brought us a huge plate of plain fries to share.
When he had time he stopped by our table to chat and see how we were doing. The manager also dropped by and we all shared a lovely conversation. My husband and I were made to feel special and welcomed.
This is southern hospitality at its best.

I ordered the 2 for $35 deal (Bourbon Street Chicken and shrimp 8 oz sirloin with mashed potatoes and broccoli and boneless wings as the appetizer) I also ordered the Classic Combo with quesadillas and Mozzarella sticks, artichoke dip. The to go containers have gotten extremely small, but the price remains the same. The mashed potatoes did not even fill the round container 1/2 full. It is unacceptable that you’ll have reduced the containers but not the price. The Bourbon Street Chicken had no seasoning. What is going on with Applebee’s? I truly can see why most of them have closed. You were one of my favorite, go to restaurants, but today ended that. If you want to remain open, update the restaurant, and bring back the good food you use to be known for. Stop making portions smaller and increasing the prices. The containers need to be bigger.

Our favorite dish was the Battered fish with French fries. You can order or swap out French fries for Coleslaw. We love the Artichoke dip with chips. We love the House salad with Ranch dip! My significant other ordered Stella Artois. I ordered the 4 small fruit flavored Margarita’s! We tipped $20.00 so the final cost was $96.00 and some odd cents!

Lookie here, as a parent of a unique abilities child, raising 2 pretweens its not often I get a treat to myself let alone a gift card of appreciation. You can imagine my excitement when I realized I could order from home and have my yummies picked up.
When the food got here, the rice was so hard it was crunchy, and the chicken was dryer than week old sweat socks standing up in a corner!
There are times calling back with understanding and compassion that mistakes can happen, cooks get tired, and restaurant employees really do be trying their best goes a long way. Not only did the manager apologize we had a good giggle over that crunchy rice, and he asked me to come on back and get a fresh plate.

THATS WHAT U CALL SERVICE!!!

Mr. Jerry handled his business and I’m so glad I treated him and staff with the respect they deserve.

Will be going back, just for the service
