The food was good overall — not the best I’ve had, but definitely not bad. It wasn’t greasy, and I didn’t feel heavy after eating, which is always a plus. My server was friendly, though they did mix up a couple of our orders at the table. The rice could’ve used a bit more flavor, but the chicken was tasty and well-cooked.
The enchiladas, chicken tacos, and beef puffy tacos are worth trying . The restaurant was pretty packed around 7 PM during the dinner rush, so expect a bit of a wait. You don’t pay at the table — instead, you pay near the front door in a narrow hallway on your way out.

This was my first time eating here but it won’t be my last. The chicken fried steak was delicious… Probably the best fries I had in a long time. The burger was very good also.

Love this place! Their caldo de rez is the best with the side of rice/ cilantro/ lime & their homemade corn tortillas. It has always tasted pretty fresh! My hubby loves their menudo!

Excellent breakfast tacos. They definitely do not skimp on the ingredients. My favorite was the Picadio taco. No complaints from my brother with the traditional egg breakfast. Chips and salsa were also excellent. The place was packed, which is always a good sign. Highly recommend.

Hot damn! I wish this place was closer to us. The place itself has lots of seating, booths and tables. The service is great, staff is very friendly and gives you time to look over the menu. The chip were fresh and hot, and the salsa very yummy. They had a lot of options on the menu and our food was absolutely delicious! We saw they have margarita specials but we didn’t order them. The portion size was awesome and we would definitely be back if in the area again! Definitely a must stop if you want some good Mexican food.

Great chicken enchilada and beef fajitas. Generous portions for the price. Even the virgin margarita was good. Service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is not fancy, but it’s exactly what you want a TexMex restaurant to be. 1 virgin drink, 1 NA beer, 1 enchilada plate, + 1 beef fajita plate = $48 and we walked away with over half of the food in leftovers. Plus the tunes were bumpin.

One of the best house margaritas and waitstaffs in Austin. There is no concern with being trendy, just great food and friendly faces. It feels like going to a friend’s house for dinner. Their beef fajita meat is my favorite in Austin and their homemade tortillas are perfect for wiping your plate clean. Go once and you’ll become a regular!

This restaurant has a charming atmosphere and a welcoming staff, which made for a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite match the vibe. We ordered the mole plate and the nachos especiales, and both were disappointingly bland. The queso was fine but nothing memorable, while the salsa was the standout of the meal—fresh and flavorful. If they put as much care into seasoning the dishes as they do their salsa, this place could be great.
