I think it is very pricey for the menu. Two people, each with a drink and apple crisp for desert $37. Chicken is not near as good as the original Roy Roger’s, (it was dry) they put cheese on the apple crisp. Not a fan. Service was excellent, at least you have that going for you. One complaint that is not acceptable, I realize it is winter and has been very cold outside but there is no excuse to have freezing cold restrooms.

I’ve gone out of my way a couple of times to give this place a fair shot because the reviews are so positive and we were excited to try something new.

The first time I visited, I thought it was pretty overrated, though overall it was just okay. You order your burger and then add your own toppings at a self-serve counter, similar to Fuddruckers.

Unfortunately, that’s where the similarities end.

I came back today during a busy lunch hour hoping for a fresher experience than my first visit. Instead, after placing my family’s order, I noticed an older woman in the back assembling the food entirely with her bare hands. I asked the cashier to please have her remake the meal in a more sanitary way. She did put on gloves and remade the food, and nothing further was said.

When we finally received our meals, the food was disappointing. I’ve honestly had better-tasting sandwiches from McDonald’s. I genuinely don’t understand how this place has such glowing reviews because there’s nothing particularly special about the food. Everything — aside from the mozzarella sticks — was below average.

It honestly makes me wonder if I visited the same place everyone else is raving about in their reviews.

Heard their chicken was great and I was tired of KFC. After 35 minutes they realized they didnt have biscuits. 48 minutes from time of order to food in hand and that is after I had to double check the order cause she missed items. It might be great chicken, but almost an hour wait is ridiculous. I got a sorry for your wait, have a good night. Will not be going back for chicken anytime soon. Update… I then get home to hard brown mashed potatoes,. Absolutely terrible.

This was our first time ordering. We had been told they had good fried chicken so we decided to go all in with a 20pc order.
I really enjoyed how crispy the chicken was and it wasn’t dry. We will be ordering from here again. I did get a regular coleslaw and it was good a little pricey for the size.
We have ordered the fries chicken several times now and it has been just as good a the first time.
I tried the Lg. Fish sandwich platter, it was good. The tartar sauce wasn’t the best but worked.

Went here for the fish platter, was not disappointed! The fish was super hot and crispy but not dry. Flavorful. I added tartar sauce and lettuce to the sandwich from their condiments bar. The hush puppies were really good, I enjoyed them a lot, good flavor and crispiness but again, not dry. The fries were solid, nothing crazy but nothing wrong with them. Slaw was classic. Restaurant was pretty clean, and it didn’t take long for the food to come out, given it was cook to order. Overall I’d definitely recommend, especially given they’re local.

I gave it another try. (Old review screenshot in the photos.)

Again, everyone was super friendly. I asked at the drive thru, “What do you have that’s going to absolutely knock my socks off…. best thing in the restaurant?” They recommended the Lucky Burger. It wasn’t as bad as the roast beef, but it didn’t knock my socks off. Fries were better, too. I forgot to check the drive-thru menu for anything about “fixings,” but none were offered when I ordered.

I really want to like this place…. I guess I just haven’t found what I like yet.

The Roast Beef sandwiches are very good. The burgers may be the best fast food burgers and the fries are hot and crispy. The burgers are served plain and you build your burger at the condiment bar. The service provided was fast and friendly.

Restaurant sure has changed over the years. I understand inflation with the pricing but combined with the tiny portions screams highway robbery. The large roast beef sandwich is a quarter the size it used to be along with a large fry compared to the old full holster fries. I still can’t get over how small the large roast beef sandwich is. Terrible from what it once was.

I love eating here, people who work here are nice and I would say I am a frequent customer. I am giving 4 for the food because they only filled my fries half way and aren’t usually fresh. We pay way too much for a combo meal to not receive all food with it and we should receive it fresh. I get the Lucky R and tartar sauce is a must, burger never disappoints! Also there’s lady that has been working here forever she even worked back when this restaurant was in Mt Carmel, she has a serious attitude problem and always gives me an issue when I ask for extra tartar sauce, I’m willing to pay but her customer service is poor. Haven’t been back since because of her.

This is the 2nd and last time eating here. It appears the quality has gone downhill. Lucky R does not taste the same as it used too. Burger smaller with less taste, bun was stale and crumbly, also ham had no taste. I’m done.
