This place was absolutely packed. Really relaxed vibe in here. The waitresses sat me next to a bunch of college kids. They were loud and boisterous. But once they got their food. They chilled out and the vibe got even better. The waitresses were all hustling and working very hard. Very pleasant and kind. If your not a local, just be prepared for all the motorcycles when you enter. Don’t be intimidated. You would be surprised how kind bikers can actually be. There is a full bar inside and outside as well. The views of the beach both inside and outside are amazing!!!

Food was excellent! Rice was a bit undercooked but they immediately brought out some new rice and apologized for the inconvenience. So kudos for customer service!

Very fun place with good food and right on the beach. Indoor and outdoor seating with live music outside.

Utica Club on draft with various other choices.

Beach access.

When the indoor seating is full it can get very loud. But the beach view is delightful.

Friendly staff and fair prices.

We went here looking for good food and a great atmosphere. The place is right on the water, they have indoor and outdoor seating. There is a big bar outside and there was a live band. We got sat right away (party of 6) and then the server took a long time to come to us. I think she got double sat but we waited at least 10 mins to be greeted and get waters. We ordered and they messed up our drink order. They have an extensive drink menu but the drinks are on the weaker side, the drink prices aren’t listed. We got the clams $18 for 12 and they were very sandy which was disappointing. Two people got burgers and they were very good, they come with chips and you cannot up charge to add fries. We wanted fries and had to get a whole basket of them. I got the fish tacos with grilled fish and the fish was cooked well but the consistency of the tacos was mush and I just ate the filling. The Cesar salad was huge and the chicken was delish on it. Also the edamame was very good and a huge portion. Over all I’d go back and try something else.

Writing this review from June, 2025, we had gotten takeout from this place. The food was NOT WORTH THE VERY EXPENSIVE PRICE!!! We spent $200 without knowing for 4 PEOPLE. They charged us $20 for water which is crazy. The shrimp cocktail was warm and was $15 for a couple of small pieces of shrimp that was supposed to be jumbo. Mac n cheese was $28 and was cold and disgusting. We got side salads and the greens were soggy and brown. It took 30 minutes to come out and the appeal of the area was seedy. A HORRIBLE BIRTHDAY DINNER FOR OUR SON!! We couldn’t be more disappointed with this spot.

Harpoon Eddie’s at 611 Park Avenue, Sylvan Beach, N.Y., offers an exceptional dining experience with a variety of delicious dishes and a charming atmosphere. The personal pizzas, especially the Margarita pizza, are the perfect size with a perfect crust and a delightful balance of cheese and pineapple.

The garlic parmesan fries are truly the best fries I’ve ever had. They have a satisfying crunch on the outside, are soft on the inside, and are perfectly flavored with parmesan, making them a must-try. The gigantic loaded french fry platter was a fantastic appetizer for our group of seven, providing a great start to our meal.

Harpoon Eddie’s riggies are also a highlight. The light sauce adheres perfectly to the rigatoni, offering a mild yet delicious flavor. The accompanying side salad with Italian dressing is a refreshing complement. The three-cheese pulled pork mac and cheese is a massive dish, easily weighing around two pounds. The pork is perfectly cooked, and the generous portion of macaroni makes it a hearty and satisfying meal.

The Greek Power Bowl is another standout dish, with rice, avocado, and cucumber blending harmoniously for a delicious and refreshing meal.

The views from inside the dining area are stunning, with the beach and water providing a serene backdrop. Volleyball games often take place nearby during the day, adding to the lively atmosphere. Parking is convenient, with a smaller lot next to the restaurant and a larger lot nearby that can accommodate hundreds of vehicles.

Upon entering Harpoon Eddie’s, you are greeted by a small gift shop offering branded items. The dining and bar area is spacious and often features live entertainment, adding to the vibrant ambiance. The interior is impeccably clean and well-organized, including the bathrooms.

Outside seating is plentiful, with space for around a hundred people and an additional twenty at the outdoor cabana bar. The outdoor stage offers live music, which adds to the entertainment but can sometimes be a bit too loud for comfortable conversation during dinner.

A notable feature of Harpoon Eddie’s is the classic car show held every Thursday in the larger parking lot nearby. This event showcases some of the nicest cars you’ll ever see and is a delightful addition to the dining experience. Even on hot days, the breeze from the water provides a pleasant cooling effect, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, our time at Harpoon Eddie’s was fantastic. The combination of delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and beautiful views makes it a place we love visiting and will continue to frequent for years to come. Keep up the excellent work, Harpoon Eddie’s!

We parked on the street and entered the main door. We were immediately greeted and sat outside (our preference). The band was just about to start. The place wasnt packed, and people were spread out.

Our server took our drink order, but it took quite a while for her to return. The outdoor bar had a few people at it, but they seemed understaffed as far as servers. We ordered Clams & Sausage as an appetizer. It was amazing. Our meals came shortly after. We had Lobster Mac n Cheese and a Shrimp Po Boy Sand.

We enjoyed our food while listening to the band and enjoying the atmosphere being right next to beach. The food was amazing, great atmosphere, just service was slow to get additional drinks and our check.

Big spacious place with both indoor and outdoor seating. It sits right in the beach with a beautiful view! Their cocktails were amazing, banana and peach coladas hit the spot! Their fried haddock sandwich was great! The roll they used, OMG so soft and delicious. Softshell crab wasn’t that great, tasted bland wouldn’t recommend. Ashely was our server and she was great. She was very friendly, professional, and attentive. Price point was about $17/$18 per person. Will definitely come back!

Had a great time. Atmosphere, food, friendly staff all top notch. Only one minor issue was the waitress not honoring the kids getting a free beverage with their meal like the menu states and banging us for $2.50 lemonade 4 times. Rejected any questioning on it. $10 I’ll never get back but otherwise a great day and nothing that’s worth less than 5 stars.
