We had a lovely Valentine’s Day yesterday. The food was excellent, and although the restaurant was incredibly busy, the staff truly did their best to take care of everyone. The atmosphere was full of love, laughter, and celebration — it felt very special.
One small suggestion would be to increase the distance between tables for two. The current arrangement makes private conversations slightly difficult and can affect the overall dining experience.
Unfortunately, from the moment I was seated, an old lady at the adjacent table stared at me with visible hostility, that hostility was so obvious that I had to switch my seat. It was surprising and, frankly, unnecessary. I couldn’t quite understand where such intensity came from, perhaps my joy, confidence, and a touch of youthful glow can be unsettling to her. But in any case, one’s happiness should never require apology, it is not my fault you are aging or hollow inside your heart
A little more space between tables might help preserve the intimate atmosphere that occasions like this deserve.
And finally — may we all be kind to ourselves and to others. There is already enough noise in the world a little grace goes a long way. ✨

Food was super quick and tasty ! Our waitress valentyna was super smiley and helpful. All staff were very attentive and happy was a lovely experience 🙂

Had a lovely meal here for my daughter’s birthday. The food was mostly very good ( my chicken was dry…it needs a sauce ,- but I’ll give it a pass as everything else was great)
Service was great and attentive.
The only reason it’s not 5 stars is the noise level was horrendous as a family of four we could barely hold a conversation. This was mainly due to a very large party that were (while polite) generating an awful lot of noise trying to talk over each other – I don’t really blame the restaurant for that but perhaps large parties could be seated away from other guests. It did ruin the vibe – but otherwise we’ll be back to try again.

This place had the biggest gluten free celiac friendly menu I’ve ever seen at a French restaurant in my life! Each dish came out labeled gluten free and they had bread/toast for their cheese selection for dessert. The gluten free French onion soup was amazing as well as the ratatouille. What an incredible meal! If I was here another night I’d come back again.

On this occasion we did not stay, having arrived on time for our booking (pre theatre) at 5.30 – we sat for nearly 20 minutes while diners seated after us had their orders taken and food delivered.
We tried on two occasions to attract the attention of staff ( which were few) but to no avail and not wishing to cause a scene, got up and left.
This is the first time we have ever been disappointed with Cote – who usually deliver a good dining experience.

I like Cote because they manage to offer a pretty good gluten free selection and their staff are well trained in it. The food is never anything less than good and the staff are always attentive and efficient. It was a very busy lunchtime due to the special offer on the fixed price menu, which made the atmosphere a bit less enjoyable for me but good for business, so one star knocked off. I think Cote are consistently good whichever restaurant you go to.

We had the January Happiest menu which meant the set menu which had a selection from the main menu. Although a reduced menu there was sufficient range, I had the charcuterie, steak, and creme brulee, Each was lovely, especially the brulee, though cold, had a great flavour. The service was excellent, personable without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was very good as the evening filled up from our 5pm booking. The January discount is achieved through the app which reduces the bill, which at face value looks the full price.

We had a lovely evening at Cote. Cote has a really relaxed atmosphere. It was great to be able to have a conversation without too much noise. And it was well lit unlike some restaurants where you can’t read the menu with ease.
The food was amazing cooked to perfection with a just right portion size. I had the vegan options which there were lots to choose from. The food arrived really quickly as well. The staff were very friendly and efficient too.

Good atmosphere, lovely staff, great menu choices. My steak was fab and excellent value, and my partners sea bass was lovely. Unfortunately, his plateful was very small. The portion of potatoes was miniscule – no more than a large desert spoonful – it would have been greatly improved the meal to have had a 2 or 3 of large serving spoons full of potatoes. It’s not like they’re expensive! £4.65 for a small coffee seemed excessive. Overall, we really enjoyed our time there
