Burgers are sooooo delicious! I truly enjoyed this late night stop! I heard so many good things, but I haven’t got the chance to stop by! Fries were delicious. Place was cool and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back!

Drive by this place on 42 so many times. Never stopped in but always curious.
It’s a cozy restaurant with a large beer selection. No cocktails. The menu isn’t huge but everything they make they do well.
The chips made in house were fantastic. Everything was affordable
Our server was so sweet and timely.

Oct 2025: My son likes this place. This visit was better. Clean glasses and good burgers. No nonsense service.
May 2025: My son wanted to come here for his birthday. The burgers were good still. Service was questionable. I’m going to assume this guy was just having a really hard day. What makes me not what to come back though is that you guys clearly don’t clean your glasses correctly. There were lip smudges on my cup that I unfortunately didn’t notice until I was done drinking it.
Feb 2025:I am hungry. You could go with a good old mustard, ketchup and pickles burger and it’s tasty but go big or home instead. Grab a tasty Nutter Burger. Sounds weird but tastes delicious. Or go Korean and get a Gochujang Burger. It is a fusion of sweet and amazing. Plus it has bacon. The fries are kinda whimpy but it tastes like potato. It’s still good. The Cajun is okay.

This place was pretty good. We drive past here all the time as we visit stores in the area, but did not come here until it was recommended by a friend.
The food is good. Lots of unique burgers and the fries and chips are made in house, you can watch them do it! So definitely a step up from places that just deep fry frozen pre cut potatoes.
Got the beer flight and the flavors were great as well. Glad I got the flight and not just a pint of one flavor. However, 2 of the 5 beers I got were noticeably warmer than the rest. May be some inconsistency with the keg coolers there. They tasted flatter as well.
Overall, food was great, but environment could use some improvement. Despite coming here for a late lunch around 2PM on a sunny day, it was very dark and closed off. Our table was questionable in terms of cleanliness and there was a slight smell of old dishwater, probably from old water they used to wipe the table down.
Other than some improvements that could happen, food was good and would be back!

Most delicious burger i have ever had with coleslaw, bacon and BBQ sauce. Plus potatoes cut up per order for chips or fries that are flavored. A big assortment of beer from around minnesota on tap. The atmosphere is great to watch a game too.

I ordered this from door dash because I was traveling and didn’t have a vehicle. I moved from the Midwest to the south a year back and oh how I have missed JL Beers. It was the first thing I ordered when I got to Minnesota. I did the JL burger because it’s my favorite even though all their burgers and fries are good. Fries were a bit soggy but that’s because no fries keep well with delivery I’m sure if I ate onsite they would’ve been incredible, but they were still solid. 5 stars from me every time I eat JL Beerd

Looking for a spot with good food, good atmosphere, and a tap list with a bunch of options? This is a good place to start! Has that kinda mom and pop, family owned restaurant vibe, staff is great and very hospitable and there’s enough beers on tap that I have yet to not find at least one that I’d like. They are all about the heat when it comes to spicy, so if that’s something you’re interested in I highly recommend trying the ghost pepper sauce that they make in house but be warned it will make you sweat! Big fan of the burgers and chicken sandwiches and the chicken strips are hands down the best I’ve ever had, I know that’s a bold statement but I stand behind it 100%!

I tried the Classic Grilled Chicken Sandwich, and it was an excellent choice! The chicken was perfectly cooked juicy, tender, and with that slightly smoky flavor that makes every bite delicious. You can really tell they use fresh ingredients, from the soft, lightly toasted bun to the crisp lettuce and ripe tomato.
The homemade chips were amazing crispy, well seasoned, and full of flavor. They complemented the sandwich perfectly and gave the meal that extra touch of comfort food done right.
The only small downside was that our server didn’t come by to offer refills, but other than that, the food and overall experience were great. I’d definitely come back to try more items on the menu!

The people that work here were really, really nice. I got chicken fingers, reasonably priced, instead of the burger, but next time i’ll probably get the bacon burger sauces are a little pricey. It’s a dollar per sauce after one for free. Texas toast was yummy. They have cheese curds too and pretzels which is this Tuesday the July 30 they’re having a special you can see it in the pictures supposed to be superb beer
