I’ve always loved Jack the Dipper’s ice cream, but this visit was disappointing. The staff working appeared to be two high school seniors, and the customer service was lacking. I clearly stated my order, but instead of repeating it back or asking for clarification, he assumed what I wanted. While the ice cream flavor was correct, I was given a waffle bowl instead of the waffle cone I asked for.
Before leaving, I used the restroom and was shocked at how filthy it was. Cleanliness is extremely important in any food establishment. If there’s downtime between customers, that time should be used to wipe tables and make sure the bathrooms are clean and mopped. As the saying goes, “If you’ve got time to lean, you’ve got time to clean.”
I will likely return because I enjoy the ice cream, but this was not a great experience.

Fresh made waffle cones in vanilla, chocolate, or cinnamon. Absolutely amazing. I’ve never had a fresh made cone. It was warm and crispy.
I had some kind of cappuccino crunch ice cream. But honestly, I would go with just a straight up flavor, so you don’t attract from the awesomeness of the cone.

Came back for some more yummy ice cream. Still awesomely good, the fresh, warm waffle cone by itself is worth it…..only tiny, tiny little negative was that the napkins got stuck onto the warm waffle cone. Not the end of the world. Another great experience

This is a great place to get ice cream!! We stopped while staying in Waynesville and it did not disappoint. They have just about any flavor of ice cream you would want. The also have waffle cones that they make as soon as you order, so the cone is warm. Another thing I really liked is they will put two scoops/ flavors in any size cup, so you don’t have to order a medium or large to get two flavors! The serving size was enormous as well. I ordered a small and had to stop the girl after the second scoop because she was headed back for more. They also have a drive-thru. If I am ever that way again I will stop byj

Best banana split ever! I ordered it in a woman waffle bowl “all the way ” with hit fudge, Pineapple, strawberries. Whip cream, candied wants and cherries. Also ordered chocolate chips to go on top of everything. Amazing! Couldn’t even eat half on an empty stomach. My husband loved his regular Banana split and our dog Bear loved his Pup Cup!
