We recently had dinner at Las Palmas Bar and Grill at 6700 N Main in Victoria, Texas, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.
The place is neat, clean, and very nicely decorated — comfortable without being over the top. You can tell they take pride in the atmosphere.
I ordered the Posada, and I’ll just say this quietly… it was as good as my mother’s. That’s high praise. Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My husband had the Mexican burrito, and it was excellent — hearty, well-seasoned, and exactly what you hope for when you order one.
Our server was helpful, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made the meal even better.
Las Palmas is definitely going on our return-visit list. Highly recommend.

It is so rare that I leave bad reviews. It just was not very good empanada had a lot of grease in it the rancheros sauce was like canned rotel and some of the items ordered were not received. Flour tortilla tasted like flour, as if it had not been puffed or mixed properly… maybe just a bad day…

It’s been a minute since I have stopped by Las Palmas Mexican Bar and Grill. I ordered the salmon and when my plate came I was surprised at how big the plate and the food portions were, it was amazing and very delicious. Our waitress did a great job checking on us every chance she could, even the cook came out and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. I will be returning.

Miguel and Selena are awesome and never disappoint. The beer is cold, and my wife loves the margaritas! She always orders Fajitas Locas while I can give props to the Texas Plate, chicken fried steak is flavorful and bigger than expected (sub corn for amazing asparagus), Volcano Nachos are absolutely worth it and are a meal rather than an appetizer, and the taco salad is good but the shell isn’t always as crispy as it should be. Last but not least, the chips and guac are right where they need to be.

FOOD AND DRINK WAS AMAZING BUT SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE! We got chips but no one came to Gerry our drink order! I ate a couple of chips and one got stuck and my hubby asked a server can we get water and No One brought me water! I literally had a chip stuck for 15 minutes by the time server came to take our order! Then that took another 10 minutes! Also Why would you have tables right next to women’s restroom! I’LL NEVER GO NO MATTER HOW GOOD FOOD IS!

It was very very busy when I went to eat dinner around 6 pm!!! Almost the whole parking lot was full. I didn’t have to wait long to be seated.
I ordered a mangonata margarita (with water) and the chicken enchiladas. They were both very tasty but the margarita was much stronger than expected – I got drunk when I only expected to get tipsy.
The server could have been more attentive, I sat there waiting for a bit to cool down from the drink. I ordered a cheesecake as well and it was average.
They have lime flavored mints at the exit too. They’re good, lol!

To be completely honest, I was a little concerned when I saw the amount of gringos dining here tonight. But….as soon as the salsa hit the table I knew it was going to be a good meal. The salsa was perfect. A little chunky and a good amount of cilantro. Green sauce was tasty as well.
Anytime I try a Tex Mex/ Mexican restaurant for the first time, it’s 100% that I’m ordering the cheese enchiladas. If they have a plate with enchiladas and carne guisada, 200% chance that I’m getting that.
The enchiladas were so cheesy and the carne guisada incredibly tender. Refried beans had the perfect flavor and the rice was good as well. Not one thing to complain about on this plate.
The service was prompt and friendly. My waitress was very energetic and upbeat, and she kept my glass filled. All in all, a great experience tonight and I can’t wait to return.
