Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Restaurant wasn’t busy. Service was attentive and warm. The menu was diverse so everyone could d something g that turned out spectacular. We started with dessert first and splurged on the truffles – HIGHLY recommend!

My Aunt introduced me to this place earlier this year. Their shrimps scampi has me craving a return. Yesterday, was my return to the establishment. I must say. That dish still tastes amazing. Their salad are some of the best I’ve had fresh wholesome ingredients and a balanced level of your favorite dressing. I think I found my permanent scampi place.
That lasagna was also an awesome dish. Cheesy top. Great tasting pasta sauce. Im not usually a fan of the mix beef and sausage. But I’ll gladly eat that any day. That was good.
J Roo’s location is no beach front. However, the ambiance was impressive and I appreciate walking into an establishment for a meal and have total peace and serenity. Maybe that’s the Anker fermented chardonnay talking .

Been ordering from J Roo’s for over five years. Food is decent overpriced and sometimes overcooked or double cooked from a party or a banquet. I’m gonna show some photos of some overcooked chicken Parm dinner.

This restaurant has some standout qualities, but unfortunately, the food isn’t one of them. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and quick. The drinks were also well-crafted and enjoyable.
However, the food was a letdown. It lacked seasoning and flavor, making the meal feel uninspired. For the price, I expected much better quality and taste.
Additionally, the seating could use an upgrade. The furniture felt outdated and not very comfortable, which took away from the overall dining experience.

I loved the food here!
The garlic knots were large and super garlicky!
I had chicken parm with a vodka sauce and it was a huge portion and it was SO good. I had pasta with butter/garlic on the side. It was honestly perfect.
The negative of the experience….the waitress. She forgot to bring out my friends meal (a salad) for about 10 minutes. We would have alerted her sooner but she was no where to be found.
She was giving a lot of attention to a nearby table but not ours.
I’d still return though!

My first experience and it was meh. One waitress for a party of 14. She was pleasant and did her best. There were a couple of incorrect orders. It happens, right? But when the corrected order comes out cold…that is on the kitchen, not the waitress. Espresso martini had ice chips floating in it. It was not smooth, creamy, and no froth or beans. Up front we asked for separate checks, by couple, we received one bill. At that point who wants to sit and sort that out. First time experience equals a non return for me.

Overall, our experience was ok, but not great. Our server was nice enough, but she was incredibly slow. It took a long time for our daughter (4 years old) to get her dinner. And it took her a long time to get us the check. What could have been an hour dinner was actually over an hour and a half.
The expresso martini was ok, but with how popular they are now, you could definitely find a better one somewhere else. However, I did enjoy the Dirty Dirty Martini.
The food was subpar. The calamari was overcooked and chewy. I got the pasta bomb and it was ok, but quite bland compared to other pasta dishes I’ve had. The kids’ mac n cheese was not the worst we’ve seen. My husband did enjoy the coach burger, which we both agreed was one of the better burgers we’ve had in a while. Ultimately, we won’t be rushing to go back.

We got a few apps and the mozzarella sticks were really good! Everything else was okay or on the stale side but didn’t taste terrible. Our waitress left because her shift ended but I don’t understand why they would give us a waitress that was leaving soon. She kept asking if we were done and eventually left and we got another waitress. Again we kept getting asked if we were done but we weren’t. Didn’t feel welcomed at that point. When we left we looked back and they were cleaning the table and talking and looking back at us. I could guess what they were saying. Not great service but decent food.
