Chapala is stunning, the colors of the building and the decor inside give such a nostalgic vibe and i felt genuine whimsy.
Now for the food, AMAZING. 11/10, five stars is not enough. We had the chicken taquito appetizer, crispy, cheesy, crunchy, juicy. Amazing, my husband had the number 12 combo, the tostada was delicious, cheesy, normally he doesn’t like beans, but this was a home run for him. Super flavorful, the chicken was tender and the sauce was so good.
I had the mini chimis with shredded beef, it was juicy, flavorful, and didn’t disappoint. Absolutely amazing. With an appetizer, two meals, and 2 sodas the total was 56 USD (plus tip)
I will be here again, also the staff was beautiful and amazing, i should’ve tipped more than i did. Infinite love and kisses to this family owned restaurant.

Amazing food and even better atmosphere! Every dish was packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and clearly made with care. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the margaritas were perfection. This place instantly became a go-to for authentic, delicious Mexican food. Great place to have a quality dinner with excellent service. This family owned and operatesd business is top notch! I went out of the ordinary with a New York steak and choice of chile , I did the Chile rellano and ordered my steak at med-rare. The steak was cooked too perfection, their seasoned grill and house seasonings gave it a flavor that paired well with the sides and chile.

Chappallas is our family favorite. We always come here to celebrate birthdays or whenever we want a good family meal. The employees have always been friendly and welcoming. The service has always been consistent. We frequently find family friends also dining here. Everyone in our family enjoys the salsa. Real Mexican food, and then some. I just had some of the best Mexican cuisine I’ve had in a long time. I had a simple dish 1 enchilada, 1 toastada rice, and beans. Went to Chapalas for a work event today and was very impressed with the service. The food was good and was much better than experiences I have had on the past. The food came out quickly and we always had full drinks. The chips and salsa were excellent, as well! Eric was a fantastic waiter. We had a large assortment of items from the menu. I had the lunch fajitas and enjoyed it. I will definitely be back!

Absolutely great all the way around! Found me a spot in Pocatello! Food was flavorful and portions matched price. Very clean and comfortable family atmosphere with friendly staff. Food was so good had to get some to go as well. To the owner or management of this establishment “Raul” knows the true meaning of service! He treated every customer the same (special). Raul deserves a raise or some kind of acknowledgment. Will definitely be back and definitely recommend.
