This was my first time coming here and I believe it was my first time trying Indian food. I love exploring different cuisines and am so happy to have chosen this place to eat. Our waiter was so nice and he offered appetizers off the menu that helped us enjoy our experience even more. The food was delicious and it didn’t take too long or too quick to come out. I really enjoyed the green sauce made with cilantro! The waiter again was very nice and invited us to come back for the buffet on the weekends! Upon walking in we were greeted and sat where we wanted. There was no music playing and it wasn’t a very bright restaurant since they had turned off some lights. It would be the perfect place for big families and the sound of the fish tank helped a lot with the quietness.

Grubhub order, the gobi manchurian was bitter, tasted like old oil. The lamb skewers were tough and had the same bitter(old) oil taste. Virtually no lamb in the vindaloo, was more potatoes than anything as you can see in the photo. First and last time. I did call and was told “oil is changed daily “. Told her it was virtually inedible, the dishes are bitter. Absolutely is not the case. And as oily as the food is, ruins everything. I would note that there have been a dozen reviews since I left my review and many, if not most are by reviewers with zero or only a few reviews on google. I question how accurate their Google reviews are, elsewhere someone mentioned that same fact in their review. Do not assume 1,103 google reviews and the 4.8 stars are factual.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. We had the Chicken Tikka Massala and Butter Chicken Tikka… mild plus, and Butter Naan. All were delicious and the spice level was perfect!. Our waitress was Great!!! We will definitely be back!

The was very good. The waitress was really nice and very attentive and the price was very reasonable. Main dining room was very clean, looks like they kept the old booth, fish tank and such from the Chinese restaurant. Food was served fast but she gave us time to finish each dish before she brought out the next one. I will definitely go back!

The mix grill platter was smoky and flavorful, with tender meats cooked just right. The mix biryani was aromatic, packed with spices and generous portions of meat. Chili chicken had the perfect balance of heat and tang, while the chicken malai curry was creamy and rich. The butter chicken stood out with its smooth, buttery sauce and tender pieces of chicken. Altogether, a satisfying and well-rounded meal. Must try. ⭐5/5

Spice Valley is truly a hidden gem! Manager Jubair is incredibly friendly and makes you feel welcome right away. The chef is absolutely top-notch — every dish we tried was outstanding.
• Tandoori Chicken: Juicy, flavorful, and one of the best I’ve had anywhere in Troy or Rochester.
• Shahi Paneer: Cooked perfectly to our requested spice level (hot) — this is their signature dish and it’s absolutely delicious!
• Egg Biryani: Not on the menu, but they prepared it on request — hands down the best biryani you’ll find in Metro Detroit. Truly unforgettable.
• Naan: Soft, fresh, and perfect with every curry.
• Fresh Mango Juice & Mango Lassi: Refreshing, creamy, and made with real fruit — must try!
• Gulab Jamun: Soft inside and out, melts in your mouth — the sweetest ending to a perfect meal.
Don’t second-guess — trust Spice Valley and enjoy their authentic flavors. Every dish is made with care, and it shows. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Pictures don’t do the food justice- sorry for the crummy camera. Great food! Great service! 100% would recommend. Whatever your main course, make sure you add the somehow crispy but soft garlic naan.

This restaurant goes our of its way to make the food presentation and taste the finest. It really is. We’re a typical Macomb county Gen X couple. We’ve been here in the past accidentally, thinking it was still owed by a Chinese restaurant. We had no idea what to eat… at…. all.
They suggested the butter chicken. It’s one of my favorite foods now. It’s boneless chick in bite size pieces swimming in a sort-of thick tomato soup sauce. This time we also had the Kurma chicken. It’s even better than butter chicken, to me. It tastes like a squash or pumpkin sauce, but it’s not.
Lots of sauces for the Naan and appetizers in a fancy presentation.
Give this a try! Entrees about $15 each. Appetizers $5-$10. Good value.
Picture shows the appetizer sauces and a bowl with the Kurma chicken.
