C&D Bar & Grill is a casual, fine dining restaurant located just outside of the quaint historic town of New Oxford, Pennsylvania. Our menu highlights classic culinary cuisine with a twist using fresh and local ingredients, created and prepared by Chef Charle Kalathas, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in New York City. C&D has been carefully created into the 5-star dining experience it has become known as by Chef Charle and his wife, Denise. As one of the few family-owned restaurants in the area, C&D takes pride in an attentive and thoughtful atmosphere and menu.

I went here for my birthday dinner a week ago with my husband and overall my experience was good. Our scallops with bacon app was good, just a little on the burnt side. My prime rib was good, I just hope the bone wasn’t part of my weight (as I got the bigger portion). My husband unfortunately didnt like his special dinner, he got the chicken lime pasta. I appreciate our dessert having a candle for my birthday, but unfortunately, I think it made my stomach very upset. I immediately had to rush to the bathroom after finishing it.

I highly recommend C&D Bar & Grill for all occasions. If it be a quick bite to eat or a fantastic 5⭐️ meal, this is the place to be. It is settled perfectly between Gettysburg and York off route 30. I have been coming here as a regular for well over 10 years. I have honestly never had a bad meal or service ever.
This evening, I had the Chef Special, New Zealand rack of lamb served with mashed potatoes and roasted maple bacon brussels sprouts, finished in a chimichurri sauce, it was divine, I highly recommend.

Great little Bar and Grill!
They definitely have the eats and a good drink slection. The staff are extremely nice. This is a kid friendly restaurant. I really enjoyed the Black and Blue burger!!! (They don’t put chocolate on it like “The Pub” in Gettysburg, thank God!!!)
We came for lunch and want to come back sometime for dinner. They have a bunch of foods I want to try; Fried oysters, Ribs, Steak.
I really liked seeing their diverse seasonal selection of food and drink.

4/22/23-this is still my favorite restaurant in the Hanover area, but my experience today was not up to par. We were seated very quickly but we sat for 10 or 15 minutes before seeing our waitress. They were extremely busy tonight. Other than that our waitress was perfect the entire night. I did have some issues with my food tonight.
I ordered the French onion soup, but could not identify the soggy cheese on top. They’re also was soggy semi-fried onion strings on top of the soggy cheese. The cheese was very thick and not crispy at all like you would typically get on French onion soup. My wife got the clam chowder special, which was outstanding tonight.
My wife and I both got side salads but the lettuce was completely different for each of us. Also the blue cheese dressing I had was thick as sour cream and not sure how it could be considered dressing.
My steak which I ordered medium came out rare and a little on the cold and dry side as though it was sitting for a little bit. I did not complain about my steak so I cannot complain that they didn’t fix it. I had a side of seared scallops which I found to be overcooked. My other complaint, when the courses came out, they came out very quickly and on top of each other. I did take my steak home and will cook it correctly as leftovers.
My wife had the seafood tortellini and really enjoyed hers very much. We both had dessert, which we also enjoyed. Although today was not my best experience, I will be coming back in the future for sure.

I always use Google reviews to choose restaurants when in unfamiliar areas. This restaurant had a high rating. It held up to the ratings! The crab bisque was amazing and has so much crab in it. All entrees ordered were delicious. The salmon in the salad was cooked the way ordered (well done) and my husband’s filet came out perfect. If I lived up here it would be a frequent spot visited.

Firt time here. Saturday for lunch around 2. Not crowded. Sat at bar. Great service. I ordered off the dinner menu and the seafood perogies were amazing. Wife got the patty melt off lunch menu And they forgot the melt, but made it right. Definitely great food prices for the quality and quantity of food. Definitely recommend.

Very busy restaurant. We had reservations on a Saturday for 5:30.
They were already blown away. Very short wait for our table. It took a few minutes for our server to get to our table. But he was very attentive the rest of the evening.
We had New York strips with salad and green beans. All the food was excellent.
If you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner, the weekend might not be the best time to come.
