Walking into this spot felt like stepping straight into the heartbeat of Southern soul. The atmosphere was alive—warm, genuine, and wrapped in smooth R&B rhythms that made every table sway just a little. It wasn’t just a meal it was an experience stitched together with hospitality, music, and flavor.
But the true star of the show?
The grit bites topped with shrimp.
These weren’t your average grits they were little golden bites of comfort, crisp on the outside, creamy on the inside, crowned with perfectly seasoned shrimp. Each bite hit with a surprising freshness, like a familiar Southern classic dressed up for a night out. Light, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying—refreshing in a way you don’t often get from comfort food.
Everything about the visit felt elevated yet soulful, glamorous yet grounded. It’s the kind of place where you come hungry but leave full in more ways than one.
A must-try for anyone craving Southern charm, unforgettable bites, and a soundtrack that feels like home.
Unfortunately, the music was so loud you couldn’t hear the people at the table. The kitchen had to yell at the servers to get our food to the table which sat under heat lamps for a good 10 minutes. When our waiter finally acknowledged okay to the kitchen, walked in from another room on his phone.
The food looks great, but portions are small for the amount you are paying. The food tasted very bland. French toast tasted burnt and the biscuits were very dry. The batter on my chicken breast had good flavor but the chicken itself was tough and not juicy. Our party had 6 people so they automatically built in 20% tip so please be aware if you book online.
Overall would not go back to for breakfast. If you want a fun spot to go drinking with friends and rock out to modern music then would recommend. Otherwise other spots in the area offer better food and experience for breakfast.
