In 1950, with a $500 loan from his father, Bill Miller opened a small poultry and egg business. Three years later Bill Miller Bar-B-Q began as a small fried chicken-to-go restaurant. Today Bill Miller is a family owned and operated business with 77 locations in the San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi and surrounding areas. We take pride in cooking all our barbecued meats in pits smoked with 100% live oak wood. We offer a variety of meats such as brisket, sausage, bar-b-q chicken, pork spareribs, turkey and fried chicken. We specialize in the baking of breads and pies made fresh daily. Ordered salad with tenders at the machine, it’s repeated back to me twice and I pull forward to the window. Lady at the window also repeats the order and charges me all for me to get home 30 minutes later to find that I was given the incorrect salad. Seems like a common occurrence because when I called the lady tries to just dismiss the concerns by saying oh just come back and we’ll give you the correct order. As if I would want to waste my time doing that. I expect a canned response from them rather than actual steps taken to ensure a correct order if given.

I have the best experience that I’ve ever had at any Bill Miller and I’ve gone to several of them. The lady at the drive-through needs to train the whole rest of the drive-through cashiers in my opinion. She is absolutely amazing the way that she packaged my food was excellent the way that she took my order was excellent. Everything was absolutely flawless and I am a very critical person. I have not experienced that at any Bill Miller‘s ever in the history of me ordering for the past 15 to 20 years and that saying a lot. She I’m literally shocked no joke. I am shocked at the level of professionalism in everything. Typically people that are young like this are rude, impatient and very dismissive. This woman is something else and like I said she needs to train the whole lot over them. Thank you for reading my rant. Well, it’s a positive rant.

I for the life of me cannot understand why this store simply cannot get an order correct. No, not just hey I ordered a leg and a thigh and ya,ll gave me a breast and a leg. Completely someone else’s order. The last 4 times I have been there this has happened twice!! 1st time I spoke with the evening manager Abigale and she was Awful. Kept trying to start an argument with me in the store after I returned with the wrong order. TERRIBLE. Talked to the store manager and was told , oh yea, we’ll take care of it. Literally 2 visits later and the same exact thing happened, maybe 2 or 3 weeks apart. So not only do I have to drive all the way back to the store but again I have to go in and deal with my ole friend Abigale. Well luckily she avoided me and I was helped by another young lady named Destiny. She was fine, but not a “Hey sorry you had to come all the way back up here, would you like a tea while you wait again?” nothing. Just, yea we are going to remake your order. Uh you mean the one I paid $38.00 for and didn’t get? Uhhh, OK.? I’ve had it with this store. Beginning to really wonder what the situation is? It’s bad enough paying the prices we do for semi quality food, but hey lets have you burn twice the amount of fuel and burn twice the amount of time while you do it too. Not to mention the attitudes of the folks working there. You know, your food isn’t sooooo good that people will continue to just take whatever service they receive with impunity!!!! Freaking sux!!!!!

This bill millers is great nice big location with plenty of indoor seating, and parking. Generally the line moves pretty quickly and the staff is very friendly. Food is good and you can get a big lunch for around 12 bucks, including a slice of pie. It’s a great place to take my lunch break and hang out with my co workers.

First, Jurnee’s positive energy is second to none. She genuinely gives off the “Welcome to Bill Miller’s” vibe and always has a great smile on. I usually order two brisket tacos and this location never disappoints. I do recommend a free coffee offering for Veterans only because What-a-burger has that offer for Veterans. Otherwise, great location. The team is well “oiled” here.

Ordered 2 Poor Boy Sandwiches, a pint of rice & a 4 pc chicken dinner with fries. My brother is Still raving about how wonderful the chicken was – moist, not greasy.
However.
The pint of “Mexican Rice” was overcooked & tasted o l d.
The 2 poor boys with beef, well, it’s a failed experiment in false advertising. Poppy seed buns? Not advertised, I hate poppy seeds – & it is 1/2 the length they they should be. The beef was so dry -see photos – it had no taste, disgusting. Bread-roll was squashed flat on the bottom in the bag.
Save your money, don’t eat here.

It’s as if the sliced beef had sat in a tray in a low oven for several days, before someone remembered to serve it. Tasteless. A great disappointment for an expensive meal for 3.
