On to the main course. I ordered the fish n chips. We had an option to substitute the fries and I chose the yuca fries. I like them, but I think regular fries is a better match for the fish.
I also ordered the Mediterranean Omelet with egg whites. It comes with toast or an upgrade. GET THE UPGRADE!!! Their pancakes are so fluffy and delicious, you’ll be disappointed if you went with toast instead of a pancake.
Then finally, closed out my meal with a latte to-go. Latte is gooood! If you have the space, or just want something warm, I recommend the latte.
In addition, our waitress, Clarissa was such a sweetheart and let us take our time to review the menu and ask questions. If you can, see if you can get a seat in her section. The restaurant is clean and the decor is so cute.
I ordered the chile verde hash, and honestly, it deserves its own standing ovation. Perfectly crisp potatoes formed the foundation, generously topped with tender, slow-cooked pork bathed in a rich, flavorful chile verde that struck the ideal balance between savory, tangy, and just enough heat to keep things interesting. Every bite felt intentional—hearty without being heavy, bold without overpowering. It’s the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate how good it is.
A huge shoutout to Rudy, our waiter, who absolutely elevated the entire experience. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely hospitable—he struck the perfect balance of being there when you needed him and giving you space to enjoy the meal. Service like that makes a great meal unforgettable, and Rudy is truly the best.
What sets The Pan apart is how everything comes together: thoughtful execution, generous portions, excellent service, and that unmistakable feeling that the team genuinely cares. This isn’t just breakfast—it’s comfort food elevated, done right.
If you’re looking for a place that delivers on flavor, atmosphere, and hospitality, The Pan is a must. Come hungry, leave happy, and already planning your return.
I went to The Pan in Gardena with two friends for Sunday brunch, and WOW… it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. We shared three entrées so we could try a little bit of everything, and every single dish was mind-blowingly delicious.
1. Loaded Hashbrowns
These were perfection – crispy, flavorful, and just insanely good. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and upgrading the toast to a guava pancake was the best decision ever. That guava pancake alone is worth the trip!
2. Buttermilk Fried Chicken
Holy moly… this dish tasted like it came straight out of the South. The chicken was juicy, the seasoning and sauce were incredibly flavorful, and it was so hearty and comforting. We swapped the toast for a pumpkin pancake, which ended up being one of the BEST pancakes I’ve ever had in my entire life. Truly unforgettable.
3. Short Rib Benedict
This was next-level delicious – tender short rib on top of savory corn cakes, perfectly rich and hearty. We paired it with a tiramisu pancake, and let me tell you… out of this world.
Every single dish was perfect for sharing, and the flavors were unique, bold, and so comforting. The Pan really knows how to deliver a brunch that feels like a warm hug.
And I have to shout out the amazing staff:
Daniel was so kind and friendly, and Rudy was awesome and made us feel right at home.
If you’re looking for the yummiest Sunday breakfast/brunch spot in the South Bay, The Pan is THE place to be. Can’t wait to go back!
