A must try if you’re in the area or you’ve never been. Nostalgic to me. If you’re in the area you need to try it, it’s a local treasure. Still just as good as I remember! ♥️ Don’t forget to order the super Italian grinder!

Bread is soft and perfect for the sandwich. Generous portions and high quality ingredients. Great sandwich place convenient off exit.

Best sandwiches — subs, mainly — in the Harrisburg area. Huge portions. A full-size sub is legitimately 3 meals. Rolls are fresh with crumbly crust, meats, cheeses, etc., are plentiful. Standard sodas and chips available. Staff are friendly and service is pretty fast. You choose Sandwich Man for the food, not the ambiance. Takeout is easy, tho not drive-thru. You have to pay at time of a phone order, then go to the counter to tip & sign. The shop is plain, no frills. Prep area is completely visible. The are a few levels to this old building that make for slightly awkward flow — up two steps, down two steps, etc.

First time visiting. It is an old school sandwich shop. I appreciate that,.food was fresh and from what I could tell, everything is made in house. Had a 8in, turkey and provolone. Food was fresh, best provolone I’ve had at any sandwich shop. The staff was steadily working, However, The employee at the counter was more concerned with watching football than taking orders, but he eventually got around to helping customers. Food is reasonably priced especially compared to the chain shops. I would definitely recommend this place. But get extra meat, my sandwich was a little light, but overall really delicious.

What a great location. I stopped in the area for fuel and noted a full parking lot. After reading the reviews I placed my order for a traditional ruben sandwich. It was so amazing. The bread was fresh, corn beef was juicy and flavorful. The cheese was melting off the sides and the home made sauce was tangy and added the perfect finish.
I can’t wait to go back and try the other sandwiches.

I often plan my travels around a visit to Sandwich Man when I am going to be in the area. A top notch sandwich shop. My favorite is the G9 , turkey, roast beef and bacon grinder. Delicious every time. Highly recommend!!

My wife ate here a few years back so we had to try it since we were in the area. Very good service… friendly and fast. The Italian sub was good and my wife’s sandwich was huge. Will come back to try a grinder the next time.

Just had the vegetarian 8″ sub from the Sandwich Man and it was super low quality, basically big watery chunks of iceberg lettuce, crunchy pale tomatoes, loads of white onions, coleslaw with a sweet dressing, and a tiny bit of white American cheese, on a dry bun. Now I know what many will say, a meat sandwich would have been better, but the art of sandwich making is to be able to create a delicious, flavorful sandwich even without meat. The staff at the front seemed a little impatient and rushed. My plan is to never go there again.
