Got to meet the mayor of Sundance too.
Highly recommended.
Wife had serlion tips and shrimp, she loved them . She said repeatedly that the the steak tips were some of the best she ever had; she particularly liked the light coating on them.
Nice beer selection and excellent service and atmosphere. Its worth the stop
It is open from 11 am to 9 pm. We were greeted friendly and offered comfortable seats.
This restaurant has West Country decor and an impressive variety of dishes.
There were a lot of people in the restaurant.
We dined on a delicious steak tips with shrimp and fries, garlic mashed potatoes and house salads. And red wine.
The waitress was nice and helpful.
The dishes looked appetizing, tasty and satisfying.
Free Wi-Fi. The toilets are clean.
I recommend!
Thank you
Waitress was friendly and helpful. Very pleasant and seemed to enjoy being where she was at that day.
We had no idea what to get, so she recommended the French dip sandwich, which I believe was also their special. If I recall, their prime rib night was the prior night, and they use the left over prime rib to shave up and serve the French dips the following day. I would order that again no problem. It was very good.
She ordered the chicken strips. They were good, but it’s hard to get them wrong as well. The fries however… we’ve had nothing like them before. It was almost like they were curly fries, but thick like a wedge as well. Those were unique and good as well.
Place Elsa’s decorated nice and looks like a rear state was there for some weekend music when able. Not sure on this tho, but there was a platform that looked as such. They have an outdoor back area to sit in the same location as well. It was western and rustic decorated and you couldn’t complain about the ambiance.
If you’re coming through this way, make this a stop.
Realizing that this was a waste of time, I stood up to go to the bar and pay my check. My waitress printed my check and introduced me to the bartender, who may be the acting manager on duty, and said this is the guy I was talking about. I again explained the very simple issue of not enjoying one side and wanting to switch to another and the bartender asked to see where the vegetables were which were still sitting on my dirty plate on my table. She went and inspected them and returned determining that. Indeed this is the way they are always served in this establishment. She again inquired what I would like instead and I said well what I had asked for was some fries or another side several minutes ago. But now this is kind of no longer relevant because I’m finished with my meal and ready to go. She put a 10% discount on my ticket and said I gave you a discount. Have a good day.
I don’t think that anybody in this transaction was ill-intentioned, but I believe that the owner or management of this establishment keeps employees on an unnecessarily short leash to prevent comping as a means of tip enhancement. However, I was not looking for a comp. I was just looking for a different side than the one that I wasn’t enjoying. This is a very normal thing in this business. If something is overcooked you re-cook it as fast as possible and make sure that the guest is enjoying their food. Better luck next time.
