Wow! Amazing breakfast and lunch sandwiches. We got two bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits and one Texi Cali sandwich. The biscuits were OMG buttery and flaky but held up perfectly with the toppings. Sandwich was savory and delicious. We are 2 days out from eating there and already want to drive the 40 minutes to get there again. We might need to go again tomorrow haha The outside is so cute and the inside is just as pretty and welcoming. The cherry turnover was okay (the filling wasn’t our favorite) but the pastry itself was baked perfectly. Can’t wait to go back!

This place needs way more than 5 stars. The bakery itself is beautiful with so much attention to detail. But the food is absolutely incredible. Flakiest pastries I have ever had, and I’m convinced the biscuit sandwich is the most perfect breakfast sandwich ever created. Perfect cookies too. I am baffled by how a small bakery can be so flawless with everything that comes out of the kitchen. I would eat here every day if my waist and wallet could afford it.

Stylish, welcoming little pastry shop and cafe. They have a wide display case of sweet and savory baked goods and several tables for munching them. The staff are friendly and eager to explain their unique creations. Their chocolate chip cookie was excellent.

I work in the area and came upon this place today! The sign outside was advertising their sandwiches. I came in and ordered the SBLT, potato salad, and a chocolate chip cookie. This was one of the best lunches I’ve had in awhile. The sourdough bread was the perfect touch to the crispy bacon, fresh tomato, and creamy avocado! Thank you for such a great meal!

This cozy place has the best bagels. Their cinnamon raisin bagle was worth the wait…It needs to be ordered on line 24 hours before but on Saturdays they make few for their local customers.

This is why I love small towns like Taylor because of places like this. It really makes the town stand out when it comes to mom and Pop stores restaurants, etc.. the food here was amazing and honestly you get what you pay for so I can’t even complain. We came here, probably an hour before closing or less, and stayed after the fact and were at no point made feel unwanted or asked to leave. They let us enjoy our food and even got a bagel to go. on the house.

Such a cute little bakery and cafe in Taylor with the BEST cinnamon rolls and other bakery/cafe items. The owner is so nice and you can tell she works super hard. We will grab a coffee from Haciendo and walk over to Flake for breakfast. It makes for such a perfect Saturday morning!

I went to Flake for the first time today and was greeted with a warm and friendly smile when I entered. The display case had a wide variety of pastry products and the inside of the shop had tables to sit down. I selected some chocolate chip cookies and they were terrific. The flavor and texture were so much better than any store bought cookies or something you would get at a chain sandwich store. I’m really looking forward to trying some of the other offerings next time I’m in Taylor. Keep up the good work Flake Bakery!
