Social Profile:

Established in 2011, Casa Chimayo Restaurant made a name for itself using a traditional approach along with fresh local ingredients to showcase recipes developed by grandmothers over generations. Since 2021, Chef Joaquin Quintana and his gracious wife, Benina have devoted themselves to giving guests an exceptional culinary experience in a warm, friendly atmosphere —where you will be welcomed as guests, make friends and leave as family!
Located just blocks from the Plaza, this historic and humble little adobe has a lovely interior that hearkens back to abuela’s house and a cute, dog-friendly patio where you can enjoy a breeze, while sipping an Agave Margarita, or a cold local brew as you peruse the menu.
A selection of traditional Mexican dishes served in a vibrant, casual environment.

This lovely restaurant is one of the best places I have ever been. Nothing is left unconsidered. The quality of food, the courtesy of the staff, the many gluten free options in the menu, the perfect decor and even the toilets were in very clean conditions and with the highest quality toilet paper! Recipes are from the grandmother of one of the servers we met, and the flan the coco was just sublime. Jeffrey was great at taking care of us for the full experience. I would absolutely recommend a visit to this authentic and very high quality place in Santa Fe.

Go now. Family-like atmosphere and staff taking care of everyone. Food was fresh, delicious, and special to experience heritage dishes. Was so good, we came back the next night! The walls were full of stunning watercolor paintings and the more you look around the more you see the personality of this family restaurant they are sharing with you. Cheers.

What a wonderful family-owned restaurant! The entire staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating — even with our group of 4 adults, 2 kids, and 3 large pups .
The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully served. The staff even took the time to explain the ingredients and the different chilies they use in their dishes, which made the experience even more special. We would certainly love to visit again!

The food is spot on. Very tasty with great presentation and top notch service. The waiter took time to explain the chili differences as well as some of the history of the restaurant. Very old school New Mexican food choices as well as tasty Santa Fe dishes. We enjoyed the blue corn, crab enchiladas. Wow! Also a must try is the Elote appetizer. Very flavorful plus the New Mexican chimichanga burrito with pork adobada and “Christmas” chili was perfect. Finished with the New Mexican flour-less chocolate cake very rich and delicious. Highly recommend restaurant.

Food was amazing. The staff was great. We did a twelve day road trip through New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, and Colorado over Christmas Break. This was one of my favorite meals on the whole trip.

Such a lovely place with great food and cozy homey vibes. The food was phenomenal with fresh guac they make in front of you and fresh limeade and margs. The family that runs it was so nice and gave us great service. Great spot if you are in Santa Fe

We have been to Santa Fe about 3 times now and have been to about a dozen different restaurants, of similar variety.
Casa Chimayo absolutely takes the cake. The menu is a great mix of Mexican and New Mexican with an incredible attention to detail and care.
The drink Menu include Margaritas, Sangria, and Beer. Paired with a fantastic list of appetizers and Entrees, nothing is left to be desired. The food is absolutely next level, and the recommendations from the staff are spot on.
Benina is one of the owners and she spends her time greeting customers at tables and running a tight ship. She showed us such a fantastic time and even brought out different items for us to try. We are absolutely customers for life and I can’t recommend the restaurant enough.
We did 2 dinners and one happy hour here. We’ll be back!
