If you’re having a rough night—short-staffed or overwhelmed—that’s understandable. All it takes is simple communication: “Hey folks, sorry, we’re short-staffed tonight and it may be a while,” or “We’re not able to take more customers right now.” No problem try another night. That honesty would have gone a long way.
For comparison, we went immediately afterward to MacKenzie River Pizza, which also had a full house. The bartender was clearly busy but still took the time to acknowledge us, explain that service would be slow, and keep our drinks full. No apology was even necessary—it was packed. We stayed for two hours, waited for the rush to slow down, ordered food, and happily ran up a $130 tab plus tip. It ended up being a great night.
Unfortunately, that was not the experience here. Instead of communication, we were ignored, and others were snapped at. As a result, my wife and I—and three other groups—walked out.
We would like to give this place another try, but not if the same bartender who has only been there two weeks is working.
On top of the amazing food, the service was exceptional. Our server Megan was an absolute delight! She was charming, attentive, and brought the experience to the next level with her warm, personalized touch. She kept calling me by my name, which made me feel truly valued as a guest—it’s those little moments that make dining feel special. Megan stayed on top of everything, making sure we had refills, checked in just the right amount, and always had a smile that brightened the room.
Between the delicious food, the comfortable atmosphere, and Megan’s outstanding service, Wiley’s Bar is a place I’ll definitely be returning to soon. Whether you’re a pizza lover or just looking for a great spot to enjoy a night out, Wiley’s delivers in every way. Highly recommend the Big Kahuna Pizza (and Megan if you’re lucky enough to have her as your server)!
**Edit: you will not gaslight me and say this was non compliance with the “no men on stage rule”. He didn’t know there was a rule in the first place and when he was asked to get down, he did so promptly without making a fuss. the problem came 10 minutes after he got down and the security guard claimed he had to leave because “he talked back to him” WHICH IS A LIE. SHAME ON YOU. PATHETIC EXCUSE.
Service- a bit cold and distant tho I suppose they deal with riff-raff often. Forget the gentleman I had before he clocked out but the night shift bartender (Eric I think) was much nicer to me so shoutout to him. Also never had a place keep my card until I closed out, not even sure that’s legal when they have my card info in the system already. Who skips out on a burger a beer? 8pm they pulled all the barstools away to open up space which was a tad annoying and forcibly removed me from mine at 10 which was even more so. Security very ominous watching me like a hawk my entire visit. I know I’m a brown guy but this isn’t the Pentagon boys, take a chill pill…
Atmosphere – spacious and lively especially later into the night but flies were a nuisance early into my visit and the bar clearly hadn’t had a good wipe in awhile. The music was a tad too loud, couldn’t see myself having a conversation. Good entertainment though. lots of TVs, pool tables, big stage, light show, and darts.
Overall I won’t be back unless already in the area. Clearly a spot for the younger crowd especially on weekends, and between the limited menu and brutish staff it’s not a very homely place to enjoy a meal and conversation with friends. If you’re over 30 avoid especially later into the night. (Parking is also a nightmare for anyone wondering be prepared to walk)
Another great year of Burger Battle! Absolutely loved the pickle vibes , you can taste the quality of the dill havarti, and the hot honey was an excellent addition.
Just tried their new big kahuna, it was so cheesy and delicious. Highly recommend adding the honey Sriracha sauce to add even more flavor.
The burger battle burger 25 is my favorite so far. Normally not a chorizo fan but this burger is perfect
The burger battle 24 was cooked to perfection! The birria on top and dipping sauce made it over the top good!
The burger battle 23, West Coast Smasher burger, was delicious!!
It tasted like a big mac smash burger
The fries are seasoned well, and their ranch is always great!
The chips are perfectly salty and the queso add taco meat is a must!
West Coast Smasher 2023 battle burger was so great
Two of our freshly ground in house hamburger patties, caramalized onions, american cheese, crisp romain lettuce and Wileys’ signature “Animal” sauce topped off with a toasted egg bun.
The birria melt is a 10/10, go now!
