Fantastic!
Family owned and operated for 17 years.
Not sure of a couple reviews about the brisket, except that they are WRONG!
IF there is something that you need done differently, just ask me them; they will accommodate you if possible.
The brisket was phenomenal. Melt in your mouth, juicy, flavorful, just done right.
The pulled pork, just as great. The beans and the Mac and cheese were superb as well.
The service was top notch and friendly, like sitting down at the family dinner table.
The atmosphere was very well done, the entire place was clean and well maintained.
They also serve bottle beer too. A little bit pricey, but well worth the quality of the food, service, and, the experience.
Say hello to Debbie if you need anything or especially to tell her how great everything was.

Service and customer service was great! The food though… I ordered the brisket plate lean and it was lean but it had no seasoning it felt like just sliced unseasoned roast beef, the corn bread was like an unmixed batch of jiffy. I also got a slice of peanut butter pie which was so thick and grainy. I cried we came in to Deep Creek on Monday Archie’s didn’t open until Thursday and I have been thinking about this brisket for 4 days. I cried at how disappointing this was.

We absolutely loved Archie’s. This mom-and-pop spot was exactly what we needed after dealing with the long lines and crowded, chaotic scene at Wisp Resort. It’s conveniently just a few minutes away, parking was easy, and the staff was courteous and welcoming from the moment we walked in.

Every customer was greeted, and as first-timers, they took the time to explain the menu and ordering process. They also checked in on us throughout the meal without ever feeling intrusive, which we really appreciated.

The BBQ itself was good — while we’ve had tastier in other places, it was still enjoyable and hit the spot. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would definitely come back.

Absolutely loved our visit to Archie’s BBQ! The place was spotless, and every staff member—from the servers to the food takers—was genuinely kind and welcoming. I ordered the sliced brisket platter with two specials of the day: homemade potato salad and stuffed tater tots. The brisket was tender and full of flavor, and those tots were a fun, cheesy surprise—but the homemade potato salad was my absolute favorite. So fresh and perfectly seasoned! I’ll definitely be coming back for more.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We ordered Fries with beef gravy, ribs, pull pork, brisket with corn bread and smoked chicken wrings. The brisket is the best among all. The fries are very good. The wings on the other hand are a little too dry to my taste. Overall, pretty decent. We went during the spring break. Not many activities around and many restaurants in the deep creek region are closed or have limited opening hours.

First time visit for me and my husband. I tried the pulled pork sandwich and my husband tried the brisket sandwich. Portion sizes are big and filling! Also try the stuffed tater tots- they are good! We will be back to visit again the next time we’re in Deep Creek!

Fantastic BBQ! We had the brisket plate. Very good shaved brisket. The fries were made to perfection. The smoked Mac n cheese my wife had was amazing. The sauce was very different, but good! I really liked it! The corn bread was a good split between sweet and savory. We always find a BBQ place when we travel, and this one hit the spot!

Definitely check the place out. You won’t be sorry!

Very large servings! disappointed that the brisket fries didn’t have large pieces of brisket, it was little crumbles mixed in the gravy (i specifically asked because i was willing to pay to add brisket)

the pulled pork was delicious and the sauce was sweet/briwn sugary which i love!

the blooming onion petals were delish, so was the dipping sauce!
the smoked mac was good but i expected a smokier flavor.

Way overpriced and not good! The $9 pulled pork sandwich tasted like something gotten out of a bulk container sold at Sam’s Club and the $3.50 macaroni and cheese was old and reheated. We also got a turkey sandwich and it had no flavor! You would do better off with lunch meat from Walmart. The original BBQ sauce was super sweet and the spicy BBQ sauce tasted like fish. I definitely do not recommend.

We have been going (and taking visitors) to Archie’s since they opened in 2007. The BBQ (especially the brisket) is amazing, and the meaty baked beans and cornbread are my absolute favorite of any BBQ place I’ve ever been. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is always clean and inviting. We live an hour and a half away and have traveled to Deep Creek on more than one occasion just to get a meal (and extra takeout) from Archie’s. Highly recommend!
