Stopped in for a drink and dinner. We shared a Reuben sandwich and an order of chips, salsa, guacamole and cheese! Awesome sandwich! The waitress was very attentive and brought extra potatoes chips because we were sharing a sandwich! Nice touch! Recommend!

Came in today for lunch, not only did everything on the menu look super appetizing, but it was also extremely affordable, and my meal was so delicious!
The service was phenomenal, everyone was so welcoming, and the staff just made me feel at home with their positive attitudes and outstanding kindness. This place is nothing like an Applebee’s or any chain restaurant, it’s a small town goldmine.
I was extremely satisfied with my experience and can’t wait to go again. Five stars and two thumbs up for my favorite, family friendly restaurant, Side Door Saloon!

Love the Side Door. Great place to grab reasonably priced lunch or dinner. Been coming here for years as the atmosphere is decent, you can have a decent conversation with friends without any real loud music in the background. The service is good and consistent and the food and drink come out fast. Love the place and come here often.

We stopped in here on a Saturday evening while we were in town to ski. Our group had burgers, salads and pulled pork sandwiches. We also had an oversized pretzel to start. Service was great and all of the food came out quickly and hot. We loved the option to add dip with our chips! It was fast, filling and delicious. We’ll definitely be back!

We ate here around 6 o’clock on a Saturday night. No waiting to get a table even though they were very busy. Our waitress was very quick and attentive. We had the Buffalo chicken appetizer which was spectacular. I ordered A Chicken Ruski sandwich, it was spectacular great flavor. My boyfriend had the Big Daddy burger, also spectacular. We will diffinatly eat here again. The new owner visited each table and was very nice. I had 2 high noon beverages my boyfriend had a large beer we had an appetizer and 2 sandwiches total of $53. Very good portions for value.

This place feels like Cheers on Saturday night. I love it! The service isn’t fantastic, but it’s the kind that grows on you and most of us have learned to accept it like grandma’s kitchen..ya get it when ya get it. It’s part of the charm. The wings are to die for, though, and the trivia is challenging and competitive on Saturday. I will say..they had the best pizza in the North, but they ripped that away from us…please bring it back..please. Anyway..small town feel with awesome food that can’t be matched anywhere around. If the bar is closed, we head upstairs to the Blue Pelican that is fantastic, too, but were basement dwellers who love Melissa and the atmosphere.

Side door is a great family-friendly restaurant. The service was amazing. Their menu has tons of options to meet everyone’s tastes.
The olive burger sauce was great, but the burger itself kind of had a frozen, bulk beef taste that I wasn’t a huge fan of. My wife ordered the chicken bacon ranch wrap, which was good. Their kids’ menu thankfully had buttered noodles, which is 1 of the 3 things my picky 7 year old eats. The moms ordered soup and a quesadilla, which they both enjoyed. They don’t have a fryer so this isn’t the place to go if you’re looking for fries or fried foods, but it is a suitable place to stop if you’re looking for something tasty and affordable.

I LOVE Side Door Saloon! Every time I’m in Petoskey, this is my staple! I usually always get the green olive mayo burger but I tried the in-house smoked pork tacos with jalapeño coleslaw and spicy sour cream. They were amazing! Then of course the homemade brownie and ice cream for dessert. Our waitress was fantastic! (I can’t recall her name, sorry!) The French dip was also ordered and the amount of prime rib they put on it was unreal! Could only eat half! Excellent experience EVERY time and highly recommend!
