The waiter was a super chill bro at a Louisiana deep Creole accent. The food during the breakfast / lunch buffet was not the best I’m sure their dinners pretty good but it was good for what it was and for the price and endless refills on milk endless refills on food and there was some good options but it wasn’t as much as I hoped for not to say this place isn’t good not to say it is the best but for what it is it’s what it is. Parking lot is really big but driving into the parking lot there’s like a big hump so if you have the lowrider car keep on the lookout for it. Lot of other ethnicities are here not to say that’s a bad thing but if you are a person who does not like being surrounded by other cultures you may not want to come here during breakfast buffet / lunch

We are from Alexandria LA and we’re in Lake Charles today and ate at the Prien Lake restaurant. The food was so fresh and looking so delicious. I tasted nothing bad. My husband and I both enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere and the waitress was exceptional! My rating would have been higher but I was so looking forward to ice cream and the machine was taken down for cleaning etc. I was told it would be back on in a minute but it never was as long as we were there.
Other than that I just wish we would have gotten the waitress’s name. She was very sweet and friendly.
She did say that they had a camp on Toledo Bend. If this helps you identify her, please commend her for her kindness and friendly personality.

This place is to expensive 40$ for 2 people is crazy. The waitress was rude never checked on us and had a nasty attitude. The food is ok at best my stomach hurts when we left. I saw one of the workers cough on the food. Will never be back trust.

Great atmosphere for sure! The restaurant was super clean, and it smelled so good when we walked in to eat! Not a lot of ppl ( around 7pm ). The staff was so nice! I came in with a newborn and a younger child that day and they were so helpful with helping the younger child get food and helped me set up my play as I carried a newborn in a carrier.

Our server was Joseph (LeRoy) – great server. Fast, friendly, and courteous. Drinks were at the table when I sat down. Made sure our drinks were refilled, table was cleared and we had everything we needed. Will be back.

Golden Corral is a place I like to go when I want a lot of options. The food is always fresh when I visit, and they have a big variety of American-style dishes. You can pick your own table, which I enjoy. The service really depends on who is working that day. Sometimes it is great, other times not as much. But I always leave full and satisfied.

This a newer type of golden corral…and little different than any I’ve ever been to. All in all, it was good. Wish I would’ve seen a few more options, but was overall satisfied.

My 2 daughters and I enjoyed lunch at Golden Corral in Lake Charles. It was very busy with the Assisted Living Lunch Outing. No tables at first but we stayed patient and though it still had dishes and remnants of the previous occupancy we were able to secure a table within 10 minutes. Our waiter Adam was the highlight of our meal. So social, courteous, spot on with hospitality and services, a natural comedian too. He had us in stitches the entire time. We enjoyed the connection. Always took care of us like we were the only patrons there.
Food was delish, plenty of stocked choices, and an awesome waiter! Who could ask for more? DATDEB highly recommends this establishment.
