Edit 12/5/25… Yet ANOTHER HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I don’t know why I even tried this location again. Drive thru line was backed up and waited 20 minutes just to order, at the order menu was met with absolute complete rudeness, was told just one minute ma’am at least 4 times in the middle of them taking my order. Waited at least 2 minutes between each of the “one minute ma’am ‘s” asked cashier to repeat my order and she got BIG MAD, and low and behold she took it WRONG!!! After finally placing my order and having it read back correctly, I continued to wait for 22 minutes before arriving at the window. I reaffirmed the order, paid (over a $50 order I have growing boys at home), and got my drinks. Requested sauces at this time as well and THEN I was asked the dreaded question, “Can you please pull forward while we cook your chicken and fries fresh?” I’m thinking I’ve already been waiting a long enough time for my order to be ready, but I oblige and pull forward behind the 1st car that was asked to pull forward. I continue to sit there for another 23 minutes while at least 5 other people behind me get their orders and pull off. I’m furious at this time. The car in front gets theirs and pulls off, another 8 minutes later my order is brought out!!! Whoo Hoo! However, it is WRONG and missing half of it. How do you forget 2 large orders of fries and 12 biscuits! No surprise there. And because I ALREADY know if I try and call I’m gonna get hung up on or ignored I walk in with my order and receipt and point out the errors and proceed to get treated like a dog begging for food, constant eye rolls, comments being made under breaths, serious side eyes and slamming and banging of my missing items. Once I received the missing items, HEAVEN forbid I ask for my sauces. Which is when they tell me they will cost extra…. I said EXCUSE ME? She repeated herself in a very braizen fashion and I said No ma’am absolutely NOT, every meal I ordered comes with sauce. After over an hour and a $50+ order I’m not fixing to pay “extra” for those sauces. That’s when the “manager” appeared from underneath a rock somewhere and gave me my sauces. No apologies were given and no consideration for me as a customer was had. I’ve given this location AMPLE opportunities and every single time I’m more disappointed than the last. This location is despicable. As someone else mentioned the “owner” apologizes on behalf of the employees but NOTHING ever changes and no measures are taken to show their sorrow for such hideous treatment. It’s such a shame because I LOVE the food, but I’m not willing to be treated with such disrespect for it. Ill go to the Gadsden location and report back on my experience. I’ve been a customer service manager in multiple fields and if I EVER heard of a customer being treated the way I have been on multiple occasions. I would do my due diligence in finding the employee(s) responsible and fire them on the spot. Not acceptable. PERIOD.
August 10, 2025-My husband went and ordered almost $50 worth of food, then literally had to sit there for 45 minutes. Then when he gets home, the order was missing several items, not to mention we were overcharged for items. It states on their website Chicken Dippers are $4.99. We were charged $7.99. I attempted to call numerous times and based on the information for store hours on here, they are open until 11pm. I called at 945 and nobody ever answered, then turned around and called right back to a busy signal, waited a few minutes and called back and it rang with no answer. This is NOT the first time I have had a bad experience with this location, hell not even the second or 3rd. The last time a manager lunged out the drive thru window at me threatening to beat my azz because I asked for her name so I could report her because of how bad the service was. I don’t even know why I thought this time would be any different but I dang sure won’t spend another penny here. I honestly don’t know how they are still in business. Come to think of it, I’ve never had a good experience dealing with this location.

I ate in around 5:30 p.m. local time. The good was ok but pricey. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The tables needed wiping off which I didn’t understand since they weren’t busy when I got there. I like my own table often I sat down and enjoyed my food. The french fries are really good too.

But for the amount I spent for a two-piece chicken dinner I could have gone to my favorite Chinese restaurant instead. I think that’s what I’ll do next time because then I’d have food for two or three meals. I had no leftovers at Popeyes.

Popeyes in Rainbow City is the absolute worst Popeyes I’ve ever been to. Placed an online app order and waited 20 mins for my food while everyone that went through the drive-thru got their order in minutes. Even though it took them 20 minutes to get my order they still couldn’t get it correct. Definitely would never use an online app again when I can go through the drive-thru and be waited on 10 times faster. Will not be returning.

I have mixed feelings on this. The staff was really nice during a super busy time. The sides were great. The chicken tenders were bad. The flavor was good, but the meat was less than a 1/4 inch thick, more like a dog treat than a chicken tender. I don’t know if this is a corporate change or this store was having a rough day, but I was disappointed. I only get Popeyes once a year, when I come back home for Christmas, so this was tough.

Let me start by saying Popeyes chicken is awesome! I have been going to this Popeyes location since I was a kid. It was always amazing food and great service.
Today, however, my family went through the drive thru to order. The woman taking our order was so rude. She acted like we were bothering her by ordering. We asked for the 12 wings for 12 dollars special. She said that is not a combo. My wife said that is fine just the 12 for 12 deal then.
We pulled up to the window and she had charged us for a 12 wings combo which before did not “exist” earlier. My wife asked if she charged us for the combo. No answer, just walked off and came back with a new total. No apology at all for her mistake.
We had to pull up twice because they were getting so behind two cars had to pull up in front of the drive thru window.
Funny thing is when I got home to open up my 12 wings pack, it only contained 10 wings. Wow!
I have looked at the reviews and several customers have said the same thing about how rude the employees are. The owner apologizes for them, but obviously doesn’t make the changes necessary to improve it.
I will never return to this location again! Which is sad because I have gone there for my whole life. I definitely don’t recommend going here to waste your money and time!

The food was extremely greasy. It soaked through the box and sparkle was soaked as well. Very disappointed in the food, I used to visit there every Friday and lately it’s been very hit or miss. I hadn’t been there in a while, especially since they stopped having liver and Cajun rice. They also stopped taking most coupons.

I don’t stop at Popeyes very often because we have better choices in, and around Glencoe. But, the last time I had their chicken, it was way better. The chicken fingers had very little meat and didn’t have much taste. The red beans and rice were as good as ever though.

Drive thru lady accused me of not being able to count to 2. She stated there were two sides and clearly there were not. Tried to call restaurant numerous times and did not get an answer. I understand human error but I do not like to be told that I cannot tell the difference between one side and two. Will NOT be attending this location EVER again.

Sunday Late afternoon, chicken was warm, out for 1+ hours, based off what the team member said, 25 minutes to cook fresh, spicy, and settled for old chicken, one team member was getting off from her shift, she wanted not fresh chicken to carry home. I left with a 12pc meal, and 2 sides. I share this in hopes that everyone working in the FF industry will understand that FIFO, and Food Cost and Freshness is what your guest want, and cook to order is fine but disclose that at the time of ordering, not 10 minutes later.
