Family-owned outpost serving traditional Mexican plates in a festive setting with patio seating.

A very good Mexican restaurant (very close to 5 stars) which my wife thinks it’s the best in the area. Like most Mexican restaurants they start you off with chips & salsa which is excellent! This last visit my wife had the shrimp fajita which she said was delicious. I had the Burrito Grande which I thought lacked flavor somewhat. We always found the staff to be friendly.

We had carneasada and chicken chimichangas. The service was… sufficient. The party behind us definitely greeted with more energy. We parked at the end of the building and came an entrance marked “ENTRANCE”. No hello, no happy holidays… non of that. We were greeted with “You came in the wrong door.” We started to leave but decided to stay and see if the food was worth it. Our waitress, though not rude was very short and to the point. I dont think we’ll return. The vibe was definitely not very welcoming. Wouldn’t even offer us a refill on water. Now that im reading this review, clearly this was not a good vist and we both agreed not to return.

This was my 1st visit and was immediately greeted with “you came in the wrong way” the door Inside entered through had a sign that read handicapped entrance… after given menus, a waitress came to the table, asked if we were ready to order or needed a moment as she provided chips and some variation of salsa. She briefly returned with oue drink orders and we were able to put in an order. The chops were very good however the salsa extremely bland and runny, had to add some seasoning, fresh lemon juice from the lemon slices we requested for our drinks and a few of the sauces on the table. After the additions, it made it better. No sooner, the food arrived very quickly. It looked very good, however, the taste was bland but everything was cooked very well. The consistency and texture of the meat, beans and rice was perfect. The price of the meal was decent and a comfortable ambiance.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Fantastic Experience at El Granero!
I stopped by El Granero on Aurora Road near Aurora Farms, and I’m so glad I did! Everything was delicious and incredibly fresh. I ordered a pineapple margarita, and it honestly tasted like fresh pineapple — not syrupy, not artificial, just perfectly refreshing.
For my meal, I had the tilapia, and it was cooked perfectly. Light, flavorful, and just the right portion. I left feeling satisfied but not overly full, which I really appreciated. You can tell they use fresh ingredients because I didn’t feel sick, heavy, or bloated afterward — just happy!
The service was outstanding as well. Manny, my waiter, was amazing. He was attentive, kind, and made sure I had everything I needed the entire time.
If you’re anywhere near Aurora Farms, do yourself a favor and stop by El Granero. I’ll definitely be back! ✨

We were in Aurora killing time and decided to try El Camino—and I’m so glad we did. The place was decked out for Halloween and instantly felt welcoming and fun. Our youngest woke up from a nap right as we parked and was not having it, so the staff helped us pivot to takeout without missing a beat—kind, patient, and genuinely understanding.
Even as a to-go order, everything traveled well and still tasted fresh when we ate it at home. Portions were generous for the price, and the flavors were spot on. We didn’t get to soak in the full dine-in experience this time, but the vibe, service, and food all impressed us.
We’ll definitely be back to sit down and enjoy it properly. Thanks to the El Camino team for making a chaotic parenting moment easy!

I got delivery. Is the “Carne Asada” boiled? How can Mexican food have absolutely zero flavor? Why is there a lb of cilantro on each taco, but not the chees eI ordered? The tissue paper tacos shells were no fun to work with. Soggy, bland chicken quesadilla was completely unappetizing. Didn’t read my notes or include salsa. Bummer.

Oh my goodness!! The food here is delicious. The Spanish rice was really soft and flavorful, the meat is perfectly cooked, and the sauce is incredible. The salsa appetizer comes out with warm, freshly salted chips. I’m looking forward to going here again.

We drove 30 minutes out here to find a new Mexican restaurant to try and so glad we did. The staff was friendly, atmosphere was cool and food was delicious. You get the standard chips and salsa when you sit down, but this salsa had a great flavor. Smooth and not super chunky, which is what I personally prefer. Perfect mix of spice. The main courses were also mouth watering. I only write reviews when I feel they are deserved and this restaurant deserved the 5 stars.

This place is still here even long after geauga lake closed its doors. Food portions are large and very well seasoned.
Their are a lot of steps at the entrance and a step to go to the bathroom which is part of the age of the building but the staff is friendly and atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming for families
