N7. We went here for our next round of “Restaurant Roulette” where my wife and I are determined to try all of the restaurants on our list that we keep forgetting about.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely, especially the garden area outside. The knowledge of the wait staff and the personal attention they showed us made it a great experience despite some hiccups. Every bite of food we had was wonderful!

Personal Rating: 9 out of 10 Sporks.

We tried their Réveillon menu along with two other plates. We did have long wait times in between our courses (30 minutes between appetizers and first plates / 55 minutes between the first and second plates), we didn’t complain, but one of the service team members noticed the long wait, she said that our main courses never got handed to the kitchen, they made up for this with apologies, steak tartare and a free glass of wine! (Shout out to Dawn and Dan for their great table side service).

The temperature inside was on the warmer side and we couldn’t feel any real air movement at our small table next to the bar. The lighting is extremely dark inside, we had to use phones to see some menu options clearly. Some people prefer that environment for fine dining though, to each their own, I’m just recording my observations.

The food that we got:
Wild Boar Patte Charcuterie plate
Steak Tartare
Foie Gras Tartlet
Pan-Seared Scallops
Pan-Roasted Poussin
Ora King Salmon
Slow-Roasted Lamb Roulade
Chocolate Bûche De Noël
Dacquoise

5 stars across the board. I’ve reviewed quite a lot of restaurants in NOLA and N7 was a real standout. N7 is a true enclave and always great to see restauranteurs establishing haute cuisine in the Bywater. Finding the restaurant is part of the mystery, as you can walk by it and be challenged to find the entry, a solid wood gate which gives little clue as to the expansive courtyard spaces inside. I posted a Pic of the gate to help. A truly enchanting and romantic oasis awaits. I was surprised at the scale of the outdoor spaces that hold a lot of tables, but retain an intimate and romantic feel with dim lighting appropriate for the space. The wine list is extensive, one of the best in NOLA… a pleasant surprise. I like bubbles and ordered a by-the-glass jean-baptiste adam cremant d’alsace rose’ that was nearly as good as a similar Krug I once paid $160 for an 8 oz. carafe. The menu was quite unique with intriguing names and descriptions, feeling like I was at a restaurant in a tiny village in the Alsace, France. Each item we ordered was wonderfully presented, with unique flavors I’ve not experienced before. The service was impeccable as well. Very nice people. I plan to return to N7 often, certainly whenever we have guests visiting NOLA.

Oh man, N7 has become one of my top favorite restaurants simply because of duck and steak dishes. Those are a 100% must tries for everyone who comes, you would not regret it! The duck has a crispy skin on top. Steak was completely tender. Scallops were seared to perfection, and I wish I could get the recipe for that sourdough butter because it was super tasty! 100/10 meal. 100/10 ambiance. 10/10 service. Would (and will) absolutely come back!!

Husband and I came here last night. Dan was our waiter and Dawn served us amazing wines with our meal. One course of our food got lost in the mix, but they gave us a free steak tartar, which was perfect. All the food we got was heavenly and such a taste experience. Husband and I sat while talking and we were not starving while we sat. The food courses were just the right portion size. Dessert was killer and the cappuccino was just as it should be. We had a wonderful dinner here and can’t wait to come back. Thank yall 🙂

We love N7 for its incredible atmosphere – you pass through an unassuming door into a beautiful courtyard that feels like you could be in the French countryside somewhere, with fairy lights and pretty plants. We had four vegetarians, and while there are vegetarian options in every category, if you’re looking for the best vegetarian food ever for dinner, I wouldn’t come here. If you’re looking for the best desserts ever and a beautiful place to eat dinner, and don’t mind about the vegetarian options, 10/10 would recommend. We liked the avocado salad, French fries, bok choy and tangine. This was my second time here, and I think the December vegetarian options were perhaps more diverse. Thanks N7!

We went to dinner a few days before Christmas. My wife now insists on making this a yearly yuletide tradition. I absolutely loved the bouillabaisse. We wanted to try the beef bourguignon but they had discontinued the dish but had not updated their menu. Typically, I would rate them lower over such mistakes but I do not want to write an essay about how much my paramore loved the ambiance. Definitely go visit when the weather is a little temperate and sit in the garden.

Our first visit but definitely not our last. Shared small plates: Olives, Frittes & aioli, Traditionnelle Tartes Flambées, and the Steamed Mussels. Fabulous choices. For dessert we had the Chocolate Tartine & the Choux au Craquelin au Chocolate with Vanilla Ice cream and Pistachio Brittle.
Holy smokes! Everything was delicious and our server, Sarah A took great care of us.
Parking lot located diagonally across the street offered ample, fenced in parking.

on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, this spot broke the ceiling at a 50. We were MOST impressed with the wild boar patté, mussels, duck, and that decadent delectable, Pavlova. We shall be guaranteed return guests.
Perfect atmosphere for a soft evening out to celebrate our anniversary!

This was hands down our favorite place to eat in New Orleans. We’ll have to go back to experience the dinner menu because we could only get in for lunch this time! First of all the ambiance in the garden is so peaceful. It’s beautifully designed and what a magical surprise to see it when you come through the gate. Rachel took great care of us and we loved the food so much. Great choice of wines by glass or bottle. Creative, yet easy going, French cuisine greatly improved by some Japanese touches. We’ll never forget that crème brûlée. ❤️
