Everytime we come to Anderson, this restaurant is the first place we come to eat. The staff is very nice. Also, we like to buy their rubs and BBQ sauce when we come. You can order them online too.. This is the best. The only thing I wish, is that they were in Georgia. We’d probably would be there every week. LOL. But then again, we wouldn’t have an excuse to visit Anderson, SC. Want to order out? Skip Door Dash, save some money and call them. You won’t be disappointed.

Nice size party of 6. Owner took our order and made sure we had a large table ready. Everyone loved the food; chopped Brisket, pulled pork, sliced Brisket were all very tasty. Sides were awesome too. I particularly liked the greens. The Owner and several staff came by often to make sure we had everything we needed. Definitely worth putting on your list of go to BBQ spots

Really enjoyed lunch here at the Pompous Pig. I had a very tasty pulled pork sandwich and a delicious side of macaroni. I also sampled a bit of glazed burnt ends that they were using as a topping for nachos… they were great! The owner was a nice guy, really enjoyed our conversation.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. Lady at the counter was really nice and helpful. Hubby got 2 meat combo with 2 sides. I got the pulled pork quesadilla with extra pico and a side of sriracha aioli. I really enjoyed my quesadilla, it had good flavor, good filling and was great with the fresh pico de gallo. The brisket was just OK, a bit salty and meat kind of broke apart too much. But he enjoyed the sides and pulled pork. We really liked the vinegar and mustard bbq sauce. Overall it was a pretty good place in Anderson.

Where do I start! It is 5/5 stars even though it was more like 10/5 it was amazing! The brisket was nice and tender with amazing flavor! Ribs were done to perfection, nice little tug but fall off the bone! Chicken was delicious! Sides executed perfectly, fried okra, potato salad, fries and Cole slaw all done wonderful! Sausage biscuits and gravy were great, there is an extra something that puts it over the top to perfection! The brisket Rueben was awesome. Nachos too!!! Portions were awesome and large. The price point was on par with the food and portions! If you are looking for an awesome BBQ joint this place is for you!!!

I ordered a Brisket Slider, pulled Pork Sandwich, French Fries, Mac & Cheese and Baked Beans. The brisket slider and pulled pork sandwich were very delicious and loved how they toasted the bun. The fries were soggy but the flavor of them was pretty good. The different variations of beans kinda threw me off but pretty decent. However the mac and cheese was straight up disrespectful. It was extremely dry and the noodles were overcooked and falling apart. It literally tasted like overcooked butter noodles and kraft shredded cheese. Fast food places like chick fil a have better mac and cheese. I would eat here again if it was just for the meat/sandwiches but the sides aren’t worth your time really.

Took a slight detour to try out this BBQ place. The chopped brisket was awesome, no fat and grear flavored meat. My wife tried the brisket sandwich which I tried and thought was quite tasty as well. The sauce was a little sweet for me, so I mixed their original sauce with the sweet sauce and was quite tasty. We ordered the banana pudding for dessert and it was delicious. All in all glad we made the detour!!

Absolutely live this place! Great food and service, friendly staff, cant ask for anything else. Food and service are always on point no matter how busy. Alway clean.
