I visited Rreal Tacos in Duluth for the first time and had an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment I walked in, the Valentine’s Day decorations and vibes were on point festive, cute, and welcoming without being over the top. The music was just right, not too loud, which made it perfect to enjoy the moment. The food was delicious, and my friends and I tried the Valentine’s Day specials, which were incredible. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. I also had a Valentine’s virgin lychee drink, and wow it was so good and refreshing. What I really loved is that even if you come by yourself, this place has such a great vibe that you end up making friends. The energy is warm and social in a really natural way, which is honestly kind of cool and rare. I also want to shout out the staff Juan Carlos and Mario were very attentive and made sure everyone was enjoying their experience. Fred, was so kind and personally made my drink, and Toney also took great care of us. Overall, everything about this place the food, drinks, service, and vibe was fantastic. Whether you come with friends or solo, Rreal Tacos in Duluth is a must visit. I’ll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful lunch at Rreal Tacos today. Our server was super attentive, and since it was our first time, she took some time to tell us about the menu and really emphasized their fresh food and ingredients. We ordered the trio of salsa, queso, and guac with chips, chicken quesadilla and two tacos – the tempura fish and the picanha steak. Everything was delicious. Also loved the presentation of the strawberry margarita we ordered and the tiny rubber ducky that came nestled on the top. I assumed they recycled their little duckies but was pleasantly surprised when I was able to keep mine! The restaurant was almost decked out with Valentine’s Day decor. Love that they go all out for major holidays…makes it so fun festive. Overall, we had a great experience and look forward to going back!!!

We got the pichane taco, quesabirria taco, asada taco, chicken taco, crispy fish taco, consome, and esquites. The pichane taco was not good at all in my opinion i couldn’t even finish the taco it was very chewy. The quesabirria taco wasn’t bad but i’ve had better quesabirria tacos and the separate charge for consome was a little ridiculous and it wasn’t that good in my opinion. The asada taco was probably my favorite taco. The steak was really good in it. The crispy fish had a bitter taste which i didn’t like. The esquietes was good. The christmas decorations were pretty and the place definitely had an aesthetic feel. Service may have been my main issue since we had made the mistake of ordering on the screen since we didn’t see anyone to seat us or anything we just did the same as the people in front of us not knowing it was for to go and immediately after placing we realized and i went up to someone working there to explain that we had wanted to eat here and didn’t realize that we ordered to go. She started to tell us subtly since we aren’t tipping we “weren’t worth a table for the server”. I had never been more offended. We proceeded to explain to 3 different people that we wanted to eat there. After a lot of explaining they told us we could sit if we ordered something at the table. We sat down and ordered another taco and consome and the waitress asked if we wanted to add that to the to go or for here I again explained how we wanted all of our food here. There wasn’t much wait in between getting the food and ordering but the whole situation was frustrating. Probably would not come again.
*not many photos since i was annoyed for much of the time

Our experience for the all the holiday pop ups (Christmas and Valentines) have been great. My go to is the fish taco. The chicken birria is also really good as a taco or quesadilla. The valentines drinks titanic boats and the pink queso is delicious. Both of the bartenders are great! Highly recommend for food & drinks. So happy about this addition to downtown Duluth.

I’ve now visited RREAL Taco in Duluth three times — my first visit was in December and my most recent was on Valentine’s Day — and I have to say, I love how they decorate for each holiday. The atmosphere always feels festive, fun, and welcoming.
Before anything, I should say I’m not really a taco person. I originally went because my children wanted to try it, but I’m so glad we did.
Our first two attempts we didn’t get to eat because the wait was about two hours, which unfortunately wasn’t doable at the time. On our third try, the wait was only about 30 minutes, which felt much more manageable. After that, we went right when they opened for the next two visits and had no wait at all.
I also love their festive drinks. Even if you don’t drink alcohol, they can still add the fun decorations to non-alcoholic drinks, which makes it feel just as special and inclusive.
Now for the food — all three times I ordered the pork belly tacos and they are hands down amazing. Perfectly crispy and seasoned just right every time.
I also tried the Picanha steak taco with chimichurri sauce topped with pickled red onions. The first time, the meat and onions had no flavor, but on my most recent visit the meat was very well seasoned and the pickled onions tasted great together, which made a big difference. Hopefully they keep up the flavor consistency because it was delicious the last time.
Lastly, the chicken taco was juicy and full of flavor.
One suggestion — I would love to see an appetizer featuring the pork belly, similar to how guacamole is offered, because it’s definitely a standout item.
Overall, the vibe, the consistency, and the attention to detail keep bringing us back. It’s a fun spot to visit with family, especially if you enjoy a lively atmosphere.
