NOVEMBER Brasserie

Social Profile:

November is one of the oldest cafés in Berlin, it has weathered a storm of short-lived enterprises nearby. Formerly a fishmongers, the café opened in its current incarnation back in 1989 as part of the reconstruction of Husemannstraße. It was named November in 1993 and hasn’t changed the name since then. THE CATCH FAMILY took over Cafe November in November 2021. The goal was to keep the identity of the site saving many features of the original interior design and highlighting them with iconic bauhaus furniture. Linking together the history of the legendary establishment, our connections to the best fish markets in the world and our expertise in Japanese cuisine we have created the new November – a contemporary Japanese brasserie.

Hard to express with words how great this restaurant is. Amazing experience from service to product at the table. Strongly recommend this venue, I know it can be difficult to make a reservation, but it worth the effort. Kudos to the staff, top professionals, kind and always helpful despite the place is always busy. Give it a try if you still haven’t, you will always want to come back.

we reserved seats at the counter in front of the chef. it was a pleasure to watch how skillfully the team assembled each dish, the process itself was very beautiful to observe

the taste of every dish exceeded our expectations. all the nigiri were excellent, especially the fatty tuna nigiri. the tuna sashimi with kataifi dough was outstanding, and the duck as well as the basque cheesecake were absolutely wonderful.

the atmosphere and service was 10/10 as well
thank you to the november 11 team for what you do! 🙂

Incredibly beautiful restaurant with some of the best sushi I have had in Berlin! The chef’s selection is must try, fresh , tasty and full of surprises. The fattier tunas were sublime and the as well. Found the menu and identity of the place a bit confusing. Also, quite loud so a good place to gather but not so much to have a conversation. The Japanese mushroom risotto and kroketten are highly recommended (if available on the menu)

Fish quality is amazing! We enjoyed a wonderfully curated dining experience that blends Japanese-style precision with rich European flavors and elegant presentation. Every dish was beautifully prepared—colorful, creative, and clearly made with top-quality ingredients from start to finish. I highly recommend trying their tuna; it’s incredibly fresh and probably the best you’ll find in Berlin. You can even watch the chefs prepare your nigiri and fish dishes right in front of you, which makes the experience even more special!

Huge kudos to the service team! In Berlin, birthday reservations often get overlooked, but here the staff truly paid attention to every detail. They surprised us with a candle on the dessert, refreshed our plates, introduced the menu with care, and made the entire evening feel special—almost like a little show of its own.

And the bartender definitely deserves a shoutout! We had one of the best non-alcoholic cocktails we’ve ever tried. A wider selection of non-alcoholic wines would be a lovely addition, but everything else was exceptional.

We will be back again!

Everything was absolutely lovely! Every dish was really special. The flavors were perfectly balanced and every dish was a little artwork to look at when it arrived at our table.

You could see the two very talented chefs work in the open kitchen. Their precise work, focus and controlling the freshness and quality of food was delightful to look at.

The service throughout the whole evening was very professional and kind. Our waiter gave us very good advice about the sake, cocktails and other alcoholic beverages in combination with the next course of food.

This was all with a nice and personal talk what felt honest and not as a work talk.

If you are in Berlin and love the Japanse kitchen and fresh fish / suhsi, I absolutely recommend this place. Make sure you make a reservation!

If we are back in Berlin we will certainly come back here.

Amazing food and service. Def a must if you come here is to try the nigiris. The homemade bread was a really nice surprise, because of how good it was. We loved the croquettes and duckbreast. For dessert we had the cheesecake, which I can recommend. The service was great as well.
We were not able to sit in the bar in front of the kitchen, which is what a lot of people recommend as part of the experience. So try to book ahead if you want to sit in the bar.

Had THE BEST MEAL in a long time here. Was recommended by a relative that has lived here for a long time and was so yummy and memorable! Highly recommend the mushroom risotto, the miso glazed eggplant, and the glazed duck breast. Wonderful service by Dasha as well.

Lovely dinner with excellent food and drink recommendations. The 1½-hour time limit felt a bit rushed at times, — while it was manageable as diners, it did make the experience feel a bit hectic, especially with servers rushing to clear dishes and bring drinks. However overall a very enjoyable experience.

Honestly, after three years in Berlin, we finally found a place where everything feels perfect. The food is true art: every dish was unique, and the dashi jelly was a total wow. The only thing I’d highlight is the duck being a bit too salty for my taste, but everything else was exceptional.

The service team is magical: warm, attentive, and ultra professional.
Cocktails? Incredible. I would come back on some nights just for them.

And the desserts put a huge exclamation mark on the whole evening. I’m already dreaming of April so I can put my birthday candle into your cheesecake.

What can I say, thank you for such an unforgettable experience.
