While waiting through drive through, some orders got mixed up. It happens, no big deal. I ask the nice lady at the window if I should pull up and park and wait. She starts to answer and Tani shoves her out of the way and interject demanding my order # etc.
A second manager stepped in, who could neither confirm or deny that’s how management speaks to all employees. Advised this is a Campbell’s franchise (where my next email is going).
I’m still outside 20 min later without food. Tani is a waste of oxygen and should be managing their bathrooms, not their drive through.
The two kiosk items came out before the McChicken we had already parked for. While waiting, I witnessed a woman who appeared to be in charge yelling at an employee from the food line. Her exact words were something like: “(Employee name), if you can’t get it together, I’m moving you to the back!” She was so loud I heard her from the front lobby, and I believe she may have cursed at him. The way she spoke to that employee was completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
Meanwhile, I asked the very kind employee up front about my McChicken. She went to check and thought it was being made. Twenty minutes later, I still didn’t have it. When I asked again, she thought she saw it waiting to be bagged, but it turned out not to be mine. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager.
I didn’t get to speak with the woman who had been yelling, but the manager I did speak with had my McChicken made within moments. In total, I waited about 35 minutes for one McChicken. When I told the manager that the yelling I witnessed was unacceptable, he had nothing to say in response.
I’ve worked in fast food, so I understand how stressful rushes can be. But there is never an excuse to belittle or verbally abuse employees. It creates a toxic environment for both staff and customers.
