One person standing there visiting with a customer who already has their food. I ask a question. They barely answer me. Give me the wrong answer. Then when I finally get my cake the lid doesn’t stay on and they’re not helpful at all..
Very disappointed. I’ll drive next time to freaking Caldwell if I need to. Will not use this place again. Very very very disappointed

Dairy Queens prices have risen by a crazt amount lately. Was told I could not get flamethrower sauce in a sauce cup when every other Dairy Queen has the option. Also could not get chocolate ice cream instead of the advertised vanilla as if it would cost the restaurant a huge amount to swap. My guess is the owner trains the staff to not recognize what the customer requests. Staff was not unkind but their policies will prevent me from ever visiting this location again.

Update 05/19/2024 – Still enjoying my experience overall, but with a slight disappointment. I’ve noticed that they’ve started charging for fry sauce now, which is a bit different from most other fast food places where it’s usually complimentary, even if you ask for just one. While I can understand the need to cover costs, it’s a small change that affects my perception of the overall value. With plenty of other dining options nearby, it’s unlikely that I’ll be returning to this establishment in the future.

Today, on my way home, I stopped in at the Dairy Queen in Ontario. What a phenomenal experience. The professional&  courteous man that helped me was named John. He knocked the customer service out of the park. He was very upbeat, positive and just had a good vibe about him. The store was clean. It looked professional. The food was outstanding as well. The hamburger looked  and tasted great. The fries were awesome and I love their fry sauce. Keep up the good job, Ontario DQ. John, you did an outstanding job!

Big DQ just a short walk down from HI (not HIE). Thankful cause that Country Kitchen looking over patronized at this juncture in time. Stroll into an eerily empty and bizarrely lit lobby. Cashier takes my order with grace and style. My Reese’s Cup Blizzard is THICK! My Reese’s Cup Blizzard is STRONG! My Reese’s Cup Blizzard is inverted to prove it’s not counterfeit. I’ve had better bugers and will again. Mind you this ham of the burg was done proper, I simply suspect Big DQ’s burger offerings aren’t to my particulars. It was too much food and not much health. Price wasn’t too bad and wasn’t too good. Service was good and that restaurant was spotless. Didn’t drop a deuce so I can’t attest to the plumbing or state of the resting room.

Worst DQ location I’ve ever been to and I typically love Dairy Queen. The place is a mess, the fries were cold and tasted like old oil. They were also only half full but the teens insisted it was a correct portion. My blizzard ended up being some ice cream with a big clump of Snickers in the bottom but after seeing the filthy state of the mixer, I decided not to have them fix it. Very disappointing. Don’t waste your money.

We were in line for quite awhile before being helped. It appeared they were short handed, and someone did come in and help them get through the line. We had 4 mini blizzards and they were perfect. The restaurant was clean, in spite of being busy.

This location has greatly gone down hill. Every single time we come they lack professionalism… we kept trying in hopes it was better but obviously not.

04/24/2025 8:35pm. The gal who took our order literally said “what do you need?”

You guys are in the industry of customer service and act like we’re inconveniencing you.

Not to mention, they were in such a hurry they gave us watery/milky blizzards instead of the thick ones. Staff didn’t bother to turn it upside down because they knew. Had to sip my blizzard so it didn’t drip everywhere

MANAGER is absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL. Refused the right to serve me from the drive through because she asked me how many ketchup packets I wanted and I replied 4 and she responds back “okay 3” then I respond back “no, 4. Can you not hear me very well?” She then told me she refuses the right to serve me. I then went inside for her to explain and she refused to speak to me. I then mentioned to the assistant manager that as a manager it is very unprofessional of her to refuse to speak to someone especially when I just want to ask exactly what I did wrong and plus I am a concerned customer.
She then told me it was my tone of voice. I then explained to her exactly how our exchange was and then she says “then you are fine”. We continued with our conversation then she told me to go and I asked for her name and she walked away from me and said she didn’t have to tell me. Wow. I was just trying to order food for my daughter and I.

If they had one customer a night, they might be fully staffed. Staff was overwhelmed and messed up nearly every part of our order. This was a large fry.
