Pros: diner food open 24/7 in front of the Baymont. They will make some custom (off the menu items) if you are nice & tip well. Atmosphere was a plus cause it’s in like an old Airstream with the menu written on the walls.
Con: diner food, don’t expect a life changing meal at 3am, but at least there is food in this small town at 3am. Only like 10 tables plus “bar” seating watching the grill.

Food is not great. Which is a bummer. The place is super cool except for the menu concept. If you don’t happen to sit by the portion of the menu you want I guess you have to walk around and get a link in your neck looking over everyone else’s head while they eat. Not anything we can appreciate. Just print a menu.
Then we’ll get to staff. Every last one of them looked like we bothered them by showing up to eat. Eventually our waitress got a little more personable. Guess she hadn’t t had coffee yet.
Probably won’t ever give it another go. The owners should invest in some management practices. Or their cute place will go down the tubes.

Mid afternoon late lunch and we love diners so we had to stop. Had the 2x2x2 and it was wonderful. Huge pancakes, real eggs scrambled not the fake egg mixture and some of the best bacon I’ve had in a while. Only complaint was the QR code for a menu or you could read it written on the walls but that had no prices. The waitress was super friendly but we were the only ones in the place. It was totally what you would expect from an all American diner.

My husband and I love trying new and different places. This spot has been on our bucket list for a while now. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a welcoming smile and information on the menu.
Drinks were at our table quick. Then food to follow. Food and service was great.
Cute and nostalgic, just what we were hoping for.

Loved the vibe! Service was okay but I watched them ignore customers that came in and didnt know to seat themselves. Food was all very bland. We had the patty melt and biscuits and gravy. The gravy was thin and full of pepper. The fries were good and Tea was nice though.

I had high hopes for this 24 hour diner. They got the look and atmosphere down perfectly. The menu is on par for a classic diner. All of the food was hot and fresh. The burger and tots were very good! The chicken fried steak left much to be desired. The chicken fried steak appeared to be frozen/store bought. Quality wasn’t terrible, similar to an Ihop chicken fried steak, definitely not I would in Texas let alone a diner. I’d go back for the burgers or to try the breakfast.

I love coming to Penny’s Diner. The atmosphere and food are both unmatched. It’s been a favorite of mine for a while now. Definitely worth visiting!

Menu is on the top of the wall going along one end of cafe to the other. Neat idea, but first time here and confusing. Took 10 minutes to get waited on and she wasn’t friendly. She never came back to check if I needed anything. Took an additional 40 minutes to get my burger which consisted of a thin patty and oversized bun. French fries had some type of coating on them. Tea was the best thing. A refill would have been nice but she never checked back on me. This was not during a busy time. I looked around and noticed no one had their food and was eating. In all it took 50 minutes from time I sat down until I got my food. I had to walk up to register to get my ticket and they automatically want you to tip. I always give a second chance but a local said it’s always like that.

We left Penny’s Diner stuffed and happy! We went there for breakfast and it was low-key, just the way we like it. It was our first visit there and I’d love to go again if I’m in the area. I ordered the omelette plate with wheat toast and it was delicious. The toast was already buttered just the way I like it and the coffee was delicious. We tried the cinnamon roll and it was good. I would have preferred less glaze but it was still good and you really can’t beat homemade. They tasted like the Little Debbie Spinwheels:)
We had to wait a bit for our food but it was worth the wait. The restaurant looked clean and roomy. I didn’t feel crowded or rushed at all.
