Everything you would expect at a good diner including the “Gendarmes” enjoying their lunch.
We had the sliders and club sammies. Both yummy and the club was waaay too big for my mouth and stomach.
So glad we found this place on google. So much better than chains.
As an added bonus, there was a heavy rain while we were eating so we got a free car wash. Sun was out when we left so squeegee the bugs off the windshield and back on the road.

We had the most amazing waitress today and she let me know her nephew was also non verbal my son was really comfortable here and another guest paid for our meal. Thank you to whomever did that if you see this review. This has always been a favorite of mine and I love the atmosphere. I also love that they support our troops with a decent discount. Forgot to take a photo but who ever is the cook and manager of this location is HORRIBLE. For the price that they listed. They sure love skimping your plates. The waffles came out flat like a pancake, scrambled eggs are super skimpy and greasy, the bacon is decent but was definitely not made with love. I never ever in my whole life ate at a restaurant that made their plates so skimpy and cheaply. I feel bad for the waitress’s because they take all the heat and complaints about the food when it’s really who ever is managing the kitchen. As my 1st experience here to eat, definitely was not a good experience. Will not be coming back. Hopefully this review will help them do better because they serving appetizers sizes and it doesn’t match the quality and description that was provided in the menu. Definitely can tell they do not switch out the grease that’s in the grill base on how the battered looked after being fried. Sunday January 11th at 3pm.

Today was a odd day for sure. I was supposed to do breakfast with a close friend at Larcher’s Market, but they were closed. Probably because of the inclement weather. So we drove around for awhile trying to find something open. We landed on Jimmy’s Family Diner, and it ended up being a decent choice. I ordered the Hot Beef Sandwich with sourdough toast and a Cheddar Broccoli soup. The Hot Beef Sandwich was impressive. I really enjoyed the gravy which had a beefy flavor if that makes sense. The soup was good, about average for that type of thing. I never got around to eating the broccoli and cauliflower or my potato. The other items I ate had me stuffed. I ended up giving those two items to my friend to feed to the chickens. I guess those buzzards will eat about anything.

My last visit, on February 24, 2026. All you can eat spaghetti. First 2 plates were o.k. 3rd plate tasted and smelled like burned rubber. I paid my bill and left. I’ll never go back to that sorry dump ever again. Was o.k., without alot of problems, when it was Toc’s. I’ve seen many violations, over several years. Gave them chance after chance, to grow up. The violations seem to be a way of life. They just keep getting worse. I can’t imagine them getting worse. I’m done, there. Wouldn’t even return for FREE. Hardly any other customers. And they think their the greatest.

My family will occasionally meet at this Jimmy’s for dinner in some evenings. I only decided to review after my mom and wife conceded to the same opinion I held.
First when you enter you’re hailed from the bar, instantly told not to sit anywhere to the right of the entry door. That’s fine, now they’ve started putting up a “please wait to be seated sign”.
Service as you’re seated is generally good but sometimes spotty as the waitresses need to go meddle with things at the bar, check their phone or just generally talk.
After you get your drinks and are ready to order, you’ll notice that whichever of the two waitresses is serving you, will emanate this feeling that you’re inconveniencing her. In this most recent instance it was Sandra Dee.
There is no excitement or liveliness in her work or actions to perform her job.
Don’t worry though. If you want to customize anything for your order, they will quickly look up from their mobile ordering handheld and strike your idea down with vigor, that they can’t do that. Not even so much as offering what they CAN do.
As you get your food it is hit or miss, as burgers are overdone and charred, the fried apple are mush and appear to be reused as some of mine were fridge temp cold. You’ll find breakfast gravy to be watery. Salad ingredients have been chopped days in advance and it is evident that they were frozen just after prep and thawed that day.
When it comes time for your beverage to be refilled you may have to hail the waitress down the same way they did to you when you entered. They generally don’t cycle through tables for things like this, and when they do check on you, they don’t volunteer the work.

Once again another meal that never disappoints! Today I was served by Bonnie! She was a very nice lady and never had to call her over to the table for anything, she was always making sure we were okay! 10/10 food, service, and atmosphere for sure and would definitely recommend everytime!

Velma was EXCELLENT!! From the time I sat down to the time I left full was about 25 minutes in and out. Total was 17 bucks and I gave her a 15$ tip. She deserves it. Well done. Not to mention the cofee was hot the food was great hot and fresh. Will return.

All meat omelet with coffee 20.00 I left there still hungry more cheese than anything. I see food gouging and over priced. Hashbrowns was just enough to fill a spagula. I eat out allot to notice. It was good though but not a 15 dollar omelet. Just shook my head. Allot better in the 70s and 80s. There! Really disappointed.

The fries were good though they didn’t give very many. The service was really mediocre. The waitress seemed more focused on flirting with the guy seating people. She had only two tables and I had to wait and ask for a single refill. Then she over charged us. She fixed the bill eventually. My wife’s chicken strips were great and seemed hand made. Her vegetables were served cold and plain and her salad was mediocre. The ranch was watered down and runny. Not a horrible experience, but not great and the bill was the same as any other restaurant.
