I came to this restaurant on vacation. We pulled in a couple minutes before it opened and it was packed fast! We were seated immediately for a party of 2, but they handled large parties well! The waitress was so kind and attentive. The appetizers were amazing and the salad dressing was perfect. I got the mermaid water which is good if you like sweet drinks! The waitress was telling us of how she plays around with the specials on the drinks, you could tell she really cared and knew how to make drinks. Food was great and everyone seemed to enjoy the food there. They do have souvenir shirts that are so cute. Overall, the service was fast and the staff was friendly! I would recommend 100%

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and we split the Mad Crabber Platter. It was delicious and plenty of food! Our server was delightful, and I loved that they had crayons and paper table cloths for doodling while you wait.

Best seafood I’ve had in my life!! Can’t say enough good things about this place. If you’re looking for a local establishment that’s worth supporting I can’t recommend this place enough. The food is really good and the staff is so friendly. The bartender makes great cocktails and the overall atmosphere is great for families, couples etc. Glad I found this place on my vacation.

Great little family-owned sea food restaurant in Avon. Staff was friendly and attentive, despite how very full the dining room was.
Food was all served hot and fast. The Hush puppies were a delicious appetizer. The Mad Crabber Spicy Shrimp had great flavor without being too hot. The Mad Crabber Platter was very generous. And, for the non-seafood people, the New York Strip Steak was a great cut of meat, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection.
Overall great experience.

Food and atmosphere was great. Slaw was a tad dry and not cold enough. Steak was cooked good and had plenty of flavor. Would definitely go back.

One of the best places to eat in the OBX . First of all the clam chowder soup for an appetizer is absolutely amazing . Fish taco outstanding. Great friendly service.

Found this gem on google while looking for something to eat at 7:45 pm. We were 8 and were not sure if we’ll have time to have a meal before the restaurant closed. Not only were we not rushed out, when we left at 9:20, there were plenty of ppl still eating.
The food was amazing! Everything we ordered was so fresh. Between crab and corn chowder, to oysters, to crab legs, to grilled scallops and even steak – was superb and perfectly cooked. My sister and I ordered mojitos which did not taste like it had alcohol, but the food- the food was terrific!!!!! Highly recommend!

Kelly our server was a sweetheart and amazing! Fresh oysters, Blue crab plate with corn on the cob and the best collared greens I’ve ever eaten in the south…. This kitchen cares about quality food going out!
Best food in the OBX!

Stopped by for a late takeout..fried shrimp with bake potato and slaw… Because they said they do not serve any hush puppies with a meal that cost over $28.. I purchased 6 hush puppies..they were almost perfect, except they cooked them until they were almost to hard to eat..the flavor was good..the shrimp were delicious, the bake potatoe seemed to has sat for hours when I opened it.. disappointing..it was ok, shrimp was the highlight but I wouldn’t spend that amount which ended up being $34 plus I gave 4bucks tip ..even though it was a takeout..may would eat again I’d like to try a steamer.. have to let the sticker shock wear off 1st.

We arrived at 5pm and were the 2nd party seated after they opened. We had a really good waiter and he took care of us. I had the Oscar style seabass with baked potato. I wanted a loaded baked potato was told they couldn’t do that. I guess no shredded cheese or bacon bits in the restaurant? My husband had steak Oscar style and onion rings which he said was very good. Best part of the meal actually came before the entrees, the grouper fish bites were awesome! I could have just eaten those and been satisfied. The seabass I had was good but it was a very thin peice of fish for a hefty price. It had a thick skin attached to the underside that I had to remove before I could eat it. I wouldn’t order that again. Overall, we had a decent experience and the service was good, but there are too many places to eat close to there that we would give a higher rating to.
