2 orders of Fish n chips burnt. Couldn’t really taste the fish bc I couldn’t get the burnt taste out of my mouth. Very large table for 3 people, too close to other parties. Loud, bad acoustics, no frills buildout. Difficult to have a conversation without yelling at the others at your table. Asked for lemon & server brought me literally one single wedge of lemon! Took my empty beer glass away without asking if I wanted something else to drink. Finally came by when we were nearly finished to ask if we wanted more drinks- at that point I just couldn’t drink enough water & wanted to leave. Not surprised the other customer who posted had hair in their food bc I witnessed the cook continually putting both of his hands up on his bushy head of hair while he was preparing food and playing with the tiny party hat he was wearing on his head – no hair net no hat – nothing! Will not be back – not a good experience- the Oktoberfest beer was ok.

We dropped into this place on a Thursday during the winter break, so it was probably less busy than usual. The staff were all super welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious – can’t recommend the Brussels sprouts enough. Beer was very good, especially enjoyed the Mango PA and the seasonal IPA. Hoping to get to go back again soon and verify the atmosphere is just as laid back and enjoyable as it was during the quiet hour we stopped in.

Great beer, food and service. I had the Big Peach, Raspberry Edel and the pork sandwich with potato salad. What’s funny is, I see a lot of reviews that mention the redheaded bartender not being friendly. I think if someone just had one brief interaction with her, they might think that but sitting and talking to her was a joy.

Very impressed with LBC. The beer, food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding. I sat outside during the lunch hour enjoying my Thunderbird burger (with salad) and beer (‘Lectric). The shade with a slight breeze was wonderful.

I shall return!!

Great beer, but pretty average food. I had the pork belly tacos and the meat was tough and dry. My son had the meatloaf and it was pretty good. That said, the beers are all wonderful. Go for the beer.

The beer was great, the food was good and the service was terrible. We were seated and greeted almost immediately, but when we asked to have a few more minutes to look over the menu, it took our waitress 20 to get back to us. They weren’t busy and all seem to be standing around in a group admiring each other‘s Halloween costumes. Once we got our food, we were almost done before she came back to see if we needed anything else. We weren’t offered a second drink in the time that we were there. Do better – this place could be fantastic. We did get a small discount per our waitress due to the delay.

SERIOUSLY? I have driven by this place a thousand times and thought it was an bougie loft living place with outdoor seating. jeepers. What an idiot I am. Bff asks if I’ve been here. Me: WTH? It’s a restaurant? This place is tucked back by the amtrak station so be prepared for it to be unrecognizable unless you know about it. Folks! Wow! I’ve been in larryville awhile and did not know this restaurant existed. Again, thought it was bougie apartments. We enter and right out of the gate it’s very industrial feel. Metal, wood and high ceilings. For us oldies it’s also very loud as the noise bounces off the ceilings, walls, etc. (Ala free state brewery). Our server arrives on time and very friendly. We opt for a bloody Mary each and I specifically ask for a hotten-heimer one. She assures me it’s done. oh my goodness. ITS FREAKING DELICIOUS AND HOTTEN-HEIMER. SERIOUSLY. my lips burn as I sip it and I’m reaching for my Burts bee balm. YAAAAS! absolutely BAD ASS BLOODY MARY! I opt for the chili and green salad mix for 14.00. I will tell you we waited 22 minutes for our food. So, if you’re in a hurry, do not come here. The food, however, will make you happy you waited. The chili was piping hot, HUGE PLUS! (I was not offered sour cream, cheese, jalapeños or siracha). And in this case was not needed. Literally channeled a steam shovel to my mouth as it was so dang tasty. Perfect blend of black beans, ground beef, onions and maybe something sweet too? Absolutely divine. The spinach salad? Perfection. As in balance. Have you ever had a salad where something overwhelms another ingredient? Not here. Baby spinach, feta cheese, green apple and OH MAN! THE PECANS and vinaigrette! COMA TIME! Bathroom was semi clean and again, industrial. Coming back with hubby!

Lawrence Beer Co. is my favorite brewery in Lawrence, the food is great, the beer is awesome, and the staff are some of the nicest people in town! I feel that the restaurant hits all three of the criteria almost perfectly, while I do prefer some staple Free State beers to LBC’s, their Oktoberfest is the best in town!

Lawrence Beer Co. presents itself as a wonderful destination, we visited on a sunny summer evening in Lawrence. We were treated to some truly outstanding options from a diverse range of selections, including IPAs, lagers, hard seltzers, radlers, and even beers infused with exquisite strawberries from a local farm. The inviting outdoor seating further made it better, allowing locals to enjoy the beautiful summer evening.

What sets Lawrence Beer Co. apart is the family-friendly, welcoming atmosphere that became evident when our friends brought their adorable baby. The environment proved accommodating for the little one and their parents, with a family-friendly ambiance. The sizable tables adds to its allure, catering to larger groups seeking to celebrate birthdays or grab a bite after gameday.

Without reservation, we recommend Lawrence Beer Co. to our followers that love a good food and beer combo. This establishment isn’t merely a dining and drinking venue, it’s a haven for relaxation, epitomizing a laid-back place to eat and have a damn good beer. Cheers
