At our Fort Payne, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I remember eating at captain Ds as a kid. It was one of my favorite places to go then and it’s still great today. I wish they still used tallow as their frying oil, but even still, it tastes great. And the people were friendly. Restraunt was clean. And the value is great compared to most fast food places these days. Highly recommended.

Placed an online order got home and only had sides called back and was told we’ll y’all drove off before you got the rest with an attitude from Dasiy. When we was told after getting two bags to have a nice night. So had to drive all the way back and yet Ms Daisy still stood in the back running her mouth instead of cooking food so had to continue to wait! Very rude and unprofessional! So now I have a whole family meal of cold food! And accidents happen but to be rude about your mistake is very uncalled for.

Busy evening, so long line at drive thru. But line moved steadily. Food was good, but my chicken would have been better if the young drive thru workers seemed preoccupied with each other and didn’t have their minds on their jobs at hand. So the Sweet and sour sauce I asked for was left out. Still the food was good.

I ordered from door dash. Two piece fish and double fries. The fish was great nice hot and fresh. The fries was inedible. Hard cold and looked as if they had been sitting there for at least a couple hours.
