FANTASTIC COUNTRY COOKING!!!
We stopped in today after church and were instantly greeted with warm, genuine smiles that made us feel welcome.
They only offer the buffet on Sundays, but they offer the buffet as well as other items during the week
The buffet was stocked with great food, as well as fat back and fried green tomatoes! Wait what? Fried Green Tomatoes on a buffet?? Yep! And yeah, they were AMAZING!
The fried chicken was juicy and oh so good! Mac and cheese some of the best I’ve ever had! Corn, Ocra, Dressing, and other vegetables were great. Not sure I’ve ever eaten fat back until today, it’s interesting in a good way. I’m not a pot roast guy, my wife had it and said it was great! She also loved the Mac and cheese, and fried green tomatoes.
They also had a salad bar, that looked amazing, but I enjoyed too much fried chicken to try it . I did however make my way to the dessert area, so many choices, I chose banana pudding and once again, so good!!
Extremely clean restaurant and clean buffet area. Friendly staff, our server was amazing.
This was our first time there, and we will be back. If you are hungry for some great country cooking, go check them out, Tast and See!

I went there the other day and had their buffet with my work partner and it was amazing the food was delicious and fresh and I will be going back. They were extremely friendly and the manger and servers made us feel at home. I suggest everyone go there and eat the buffet and everything they have to offer

Such a fun and classically southern place, especially with kids!
This is a great casual family restaurant with an excellent quality buffet.
They have a reason track all around the ceiling of the dining rooms which makes great entertainment for the kids! Can’t wait to go back!

It’s okay. The only thing I loved was the peach cobbler, but after eating it for three weeks in a row, I think I’ve had enough. We went every Tuesday. It seemed like, and it was not the best. It was like fried chicken and some kind of liver.. it’s a little expensive for what it is and food is not very hot on table. It’s OK it’s better than the place across the street. Don’t eat there.

Food was not done. The choices was not good either. Its changed a lot but used to one of my favorites. Salad bar didn’t have tomatoes or cucumbers that’s a first for me. So my salad was lettuce, onions and cheese. Paid way to much for what I got. But at least the chicken was good. But I can’t eat 20 dollars worth of chicken.

Food was outstanding. Chicken ear corn black eyed peas okra rice & white gravy with peach cobbler for dessert. Only drawback was my belly to small!
Meet Alexis (Alexa) too. Pleasant waitress.
I plan to return and hopefully it will be soon.

If you leave here hungry it is your own fault. There is a reason the line is out the door every weekend. The food was amazing. Everyone that worked there was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back again.

This place on Sunday last weekend was amazing. The food really was good. Mac and Cheese was a little dry but everything else was amazing. I only have one issue, and I’m not going to give them any less stars because I believe this place has potential to be one of the best buffets I’ve eaten at. For the past 2 years I’ve driven thousands of miles traveling all over the state of NC and SC to try every buffet in existence. I’ve been to almost every buffet in both states. I travel hundreds of miles each day to eat at a buffet, each day. I’m telling you, this place has potential. But it’s lacking in cleanliness. The bathrooms could be a little bit cleaner. The buffet could be wiped a little more. The worst part? The window seal next to the booths. We looked to our left and saw hundreds of dried up bugs in the seal. It was nasty. And your drinks and food sits right under that window seal. The bugs could fall in your food. Also, the blinds were horrible. They were dirty. Dusty. And those blinds are sitting right above your drinks and food. That’s unacceptable. But maybe the owner doesn’t know about it. If I was a waitress, or an employee regardless, I’d take time after it’s closed and clean that. Regardless if I get paid extra for it. Why? Because that’s the type of person I am. All those emoyess for how many years and not one thought to clean that area? I get it’s the owners job to hire someone to come clean it’s but since it wasn’t being done , an employee should try to clean it.

The Junction at Gowensville is a great social stop for the biker community. It’s a convenient meeting place before heading out to explore one of the most beautiful countryside areas around. When our ride leader suggested we meet there for breakfast, we were all excited—especially expecting a classic Southern breakfast experience.
The breakfast buffet runs about $19 per person including tip. We were seated promptly and immediately served coffee and water, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, the food itself was a major disappointment.
Most of the buffet items appeared to be frozen and simply reheated. The French toast was clearly pre-packaged and frozen. The pancakes were identical in size and texture, suggesting the same. The biscuits were not fresh, the sausage patties were hard and overcooked, and likely reheated as well. The bacon was acceptable, and honestly, the only item I truly enjoyed was the fried bologna.
My biggest disappointment was the eggs. They were clearly powdered or liquid substitute eggs—the same type often found at free continental hotel breakfasts. I travel frequently for work and typically avoid those breakfasts specifically because of the artificial eggs. Unfortunately, these were even worse—and this time I paid for the experience.
Given the reputation of Southern breakfasts, I expected much better quality and freshness. While the atmosphere makes it a good social gathering spot, the food did not meet expectations. I cannot speak to their lunch or dinner service, but based on this experience, I would hesitate to return for breakfast or bring my family for what would likely be a $60 meal for us.
Very disappointing overall.

Ate here for the first time today after church (March 30 2025) . I was expecting a long wait but surprisingly we quickly got a table. Service was good and food was excellent. Our favorite was fried tomatoes and fat back. It was an hour drive from home but well worth it. We will be back.
