If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food (not Tex-Mex!), this is the real deal. Every dish we’ve tried is flavorful, fresh, and made with love. We ordered out for our staff, and everyone raved about how delicious it was, true comfort food done right.
They do get very busy, which says a lot about how good they are, so I definitely recommend ordering ahead to avoid a long wait. Worth every bite!

If your in the mood for Mexican food and not tex-mex, this is the place. The food has good flavor and they have plenty of options for your picky eaters. Corn tortillas are made in house and are huge. Tacos are big with generous meat portions.
The reason for the 3 star rating is due to the lack of fajitas, how are you not going to sell fajitas. Also, they are cash only and it’s a little pricey.

This (cash-only!!) fast casual taqueria features the best pastor I’ve ever had (I’ve had a lot). The tortillas are the best in dallas, maybe the entire state. I took my girlfriend to a 6 time James beard nominated taqueria in deep Ellum the day before we ate at La candelaria. She agreed that La candelaria is better. Best Quesadillas as well.

The tacos are amazing!! At only $2.50 each they’re huge and absolutely delicius. There’s also free popcorn which is kinda nice to snack on while you’re waiting for food. I’d definitely recommend a visit, although you can’t forget to bring some cash along.

I went a few weeks ago for the first time and I order tacos of tripa and it was awesome and then I went today and got more but it was terrible it was very chewy and cold and like it was old not fresh I tried to fix it by frying it my self but I pretty much burnt it so I decided to call and complain to see if they could give me credit for next time and they said that I would have to take the old tacos back even though I had already ate to force myself to eat them because I was hungry but ohh well they just lost a good customer for bad customer service

Food used to be better. Service has always been poor to bad, but the food kind of made up for it. My husband ordered tripa tacos they were soggy and tasted old he couldn’t eat 1. I ordered a hurache have had it before the hurache was sooooo thin it was like a thin tortilla. The carnitas also tasted old. The price went up, but quality and service is worse. You order at the counter, when you walk in they expect you to know this and just stare at you. The lady that took our order was very short and unpleasant with us like we were bothering her. When I asked for a coke she said we don’t have coke, and I asked what else she had she huffed literally huffed, then said there’s mexican coke if you want. They package everything in to go bags, they call your name to get your oder from the counter even if you eat there. Then you bus your own table afterwards. So for a bad service with sub-par food we paid almost $37. Will not be going again.

Unfortunately their location is right next to a party ballroom so on the weekends most of the time there is drunks outside in the parking lot. They only have one man and one woman rr and the people from the parties also use their restroom so you have to wait to use the rr.
