Took me more than one visit to learn about the staircase at the back of the restaurant that leads to lots of spacious dining upstairs.
Last order was cheese relleno and chicken enchilada the latter ordered upon inquiring filling from the Chef. The chicken was unusually nicely seasoned, but I still would choose Pork myself.
The name, Taqueria not restaurant, is appropriate here and positively impacted my ratings. By going upstairs, the atmosphere is more Restaurant feeling.
The food and attitude of cashier is just a tiny bit short of a restaurant. This last trip I asked for a tiny box for leftovers and then when I asked for a sack to put that in there was an unpleasant attitude by the cashier, but that was very opposite the helpful nature when I entered the store and as I left from the server.
Nice place to get food fast and have a wide selection. The last two visits I have felt that I should’ve ordered differently. Such as stayed with the filling and the enchilada that I know I’d like though the filling that I newly tried was a good flavor experience. Prefer my chicken, shredded not cubed.
Baby shrimp ceviche. It’s not like Florida ceviche. But it was freaking awesome! Cost only &9.98 for the side. A must try
thank you!
We had the street tacos and preferred the carnitas to the al pastor. Our nephew ordered steak fajitas a la carte and absolutely devoured the dish.
Cold Mexican Coke was a must!
Poor customer service skills
“Grilled chicken” was too spicy; no flavor, just burns on the way in and out.
Overpriced
Amount of chips that come with a small plate was insulting…had to order extra.
Aztec Willie’s is so bad since they changed the menu and ordering format. I hope Mayas will stay untouched forever. And only 14.00 ! DR

10/8/25 another great Chicken Mole Burrito at Mayas.
Today I saw a homeless woman at the corner near Mayas. I went back to the counter and ordered a simple bean and cheese burrito for the lady. The guys at the counter did Not charge me for the burrito. I gave her the food and $5 bucks.
Be kind to those you don’t know.❤️
