We usually come here on Tuesdays since they offer buck a shuck oysters (Wednesdays too) however don’t let the words fool you. The most basic of East coast oysters are malpeques then for $1.50, you can get the Fanny Bays. The malpeques are not my favorite but it is mostly fresh. My friend had a bad oyster on our recent visit there.
We also usually order a bunch of other Tapas items. Since it was only the two of us this time, we only ordered the Japa burgers (3 in an order + $6.60 for an additional one), crispy pork belly, and a spicy shrimp specialty roll. Everything came out pretty fast & was tasty as always.
Other items I’ve had before & recommend is the ebi-mayo (tiger shrimps), fried chicken, oden, tako wasabi raw.
The service there is always good. They are friendly with just the right amount of attentive.
Brought my mom here for the second time last night, and she’s already talking about the next time she’ll be back. Everything was 10/10, the japa-burger and tiger shrimp are our all time fave!
The food was absolutely delicious. What really impressed me was that these weren’t tiny “happy hour” portions — they were full-size servings. You truly get amazing value without sacrificing quality or quantity.
Everything we tried was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy great food and drinks without breaking the bank.
The oysters are always so fresh and their burger sliders is always our must-order every single visit.
Fun, casual vibe with quick service. Menu has tons of fun snacks to try as well.
We went there recently in the summer and tried out their NEW summer items. I really want to compliment on the Shoyu Butter Steak; it was so juicy and tender, and I loved the creamy mash underneath.
Oyster deals on Tuesdays are still on; not a fan of the $1 oysters (too small imo) but they do have another oyster deal that was pretty good.
We also ordered sake bomb for nostalgia lol. Instead of mini sake cups, they now use a plastic sauce container XD Our waitress said the sake cups break a lot, and overtime, they decided to make the switch, I’m DED. Yea, I don’t think I’ll be ordering that again!
